Anyone have any interest in running the mack later this summer? I’ve been wanting to do this trail from quesnel to bella Coola for years. Nobody i know has interest in running it as its a lot of work (trail clearing, mud, rivers, etc). I can understand, but i love these type of trips. Figuring on two weeks, I know guys who’ve done it in 5 days and others in over a week.

Nothing set in stone here just seeing if there is interest. Ideally 3-5 trucks to spread the tools (chain saw and fuel) recovery kit out amongest the group.

Just the essentials and no extra fluff.
It looks like fun. Not sure I could make it work this summer.

I’ll keep an eye on this. I should be driving down from Alaska at some point this summer so if the timelines coincide I might be able to join in.

If we get any interest, I’ll let everyone know. Regardless, I’ll keep the thread updated.

I’m going to start planning out my route, gear, mods, etc. To get the truck ready anyways. Not much really left to do to be honest.

Since this trail is sorta “local”,it’s been on my list for a long while now.I don’t know if all the vids on you tube have made a difference but it seems that trail is ALOT more known and used now..

Probably is, usually what happens when things are posted on the net for all to see. I’m more of a do the trail take
Some Pics and keep quiet about it type and rarely post anything up about my adv’s build/etc

This is something I’ve been wanting to do since high school when I read about the grease trail and good ol
Alex mac’s surveying days. Sadly like everything else in the planet people video, post up pics, trip reports etc. Not knocking that, as it has lead me to some great areas. But it does equally as bad as it does good by doing it.
