    Something got changed when you took the pedal arm/bracket out. Like the distance between the arm and the vacuum booster. If the threaded adjustment at the pushrod never got changed you'll probably have to start pulling the pedal bracket back out and try to see what happened.

    @b_r_o your help is needed master.




    What are the signs of a bad water pump or radiator and how can I test for it? I neglected my 2008 too much to the point where my truck evaporated all of its coolant and overheated. I replaced the broken reservoir and topped everything off with water while I wait for my friend to get his tools from work to perform a good coolant change using some sort of pressurized pump or some shit. Even full of water my truck still overheats after driving faster than 65 after 5-10 minutes. Temperature needle goes up to the 3/4 mark. I fucked up on this one, hope the new coolant fixes this issue.

    Can you see any signs of a leak anywhere? Coolant colored crust below water pump? If there's no visible/external leaks then a blown headgasket can be suspect. That'll make the coolant level go down slowly over time and you won't see any leaks dripping anywhere.

    Get your hands on a chemical block test kit

    I’ll test the block after the coolant change, maybe the engine wants coolant rather than plain water? What are the other signs of a blown head gasket? Everything other than the overheating seems normal, no loss of power and definitely no white smoke.

    Meh, it's possible but I rarely see stats fail and cause an overheat

    Didn't the coolant level go down? It has to be going somewhere
