    Nice... I had one when I lived in NC was a cheapo had just got the hang of standing up on it. First decent ride I crashed into a sandbar an it snapped in half an my short lived surfing hobby went away.

    Yeah breaking boards sucks because they're of expensive and unless you know a shaper you got to buy them brand new from the store.

    Even Craigslist boards are kind of spendy out here

    Surfing is getting pretty popular up here and there aren't a lot of places to buy equipment so that drives the price up on everything. If you go down to California or Hawaii stuff is much cheaper because there are shops everywhere and guys sell boards that they make themselves in their garages. there's just more options for getting stuff

    Fun!! I had a blast doing it. Right after that happened hurricane sandy hit there was dudes out kite surfing and riding some big arse waves. Crazy mofos

    This peir stands right at 40ft above the water during high tide to give you an idea. Also all white water.
