    To this day, my grandmother still receives my grandfathers Pemex pension. He passed away in 1994.

    No. I’m a gringo. We were subcontracted to drill their wells though.

    This is why they’re bankrupt. Not only your grandmother, but a million other families kept receiving pensions for decades. That’s a lot of pay out. Oil prices tanked and they ran out of funds due to a plethora of other reasons, too.

    No. Mexico didn’t allow outlanders to own or do anything within Mexico since they ran the evil gringos out about 80 years ago. So we, expats, would start a business that was Mexican based circumvent the issue with the Mexi-gubmint. Simple fix: Seadragon=Seadrill, MexDrill=Diamond Offshore, etc. LOL. That’s th drilling side. No expat oil companies were allowed until last year and they smoked Pemex’s drill times so bad that it was embarrassing. Pemex would dona well in 8-12 months and Fieldwood came in and knocked out 4 in less time. They were better producers and were in a field deemed ‘no bueno’ by Pemex. LOL.

    Oh. My company was named Oro Negro. Not very original. Pemex tanked and we had “all our eggs in the basket” with them so we tanked, too. Grossing $16k/month can’t last forever. LOL. Especially for the amount of work done.

    And let's face it, I think the 2.7L is the best all-around engine to be installed in a Tacoma, in general. It's the only engine to have survived across all three generations!

    The 2.7L in the 2nd Gen has the same horsepower and torque as the 3rd Gen.
