Any update after your trip? Everything feel solid and stay in place I’d hope! Been browsing lightly and debating one of these or DIY building something like the Ripcord camper

Yep! It was a roughly 4,000 mile round trip and probably 100 miles offroad and everything is solid

I’ve also still been thinking about a diy wedge camper. It’d be great to be able to stand up inside

How about the rain? Is the canopy keeping the water out?

I am still waiting for mine to arrive.

Any chance you still have link to this? I ordered my camper and am waiting for it to come. But wanted to think about roof rack setups next.

The price will depend on the shipping. You can try to negotiate the shipping with the supplier. Mine was originally $1285 shipped but I added some strip lights and the roof rack. Total came up to $1385.10.

I am still waiting for the delivery. Hopefully to get it this week. It was at the custom and received a text message that I could receive the shipment between 9 to 14 days. So if everything goes well, I should get it this week.

20 years ago we would have hidden-linked that straight to the most horrific JPG imaginable. The internet's gone soft.

@ScottThePainter how long did it take you to assemble the shell? Did it come with the clamp?

I am getting mine delivered tomorrow.

Maybe 2-3 hours. It was over a couple evenings so I’m not exactly sure.

The clamps to bolt it to the bed? Yes. It has t-slot nuts for the bed rails

This is my first time assembling a canopy, once the asphalt seal is applied, made it very hard to line up the screw holes on the bend section on the front area of the camper shell.

Question, prior to installation of the shell, where do you put the weather stripping? On top of the truck bed or on the bottom of the camper shell?
