Thanks for all the data folks! I'll say, Tacomaworld has a great community! I've got a F250 am I'm talking to the guys mentioned in the reddit thread (link below) and am about to pull the trigger. I just need to get them some measurements. I'm planning to pay with Paypal since that will give me some extra leverage if things get sideways. Any other suggestions?!

Also, can any of you guys that already have caps give me an idea of the opening dimensions of the side sliding windows? I'm thinking this will be perfect for my dog!

Just picked up my F250 about 2 months ago and really miss my camper shell. I really want to build a Ripcord GFC style topper, but if I'm being honest, I just don't have the time to do that at the moment. I'm thinking that one of these toppers will be a good investment and IF I decided to sell it down the road, I could probably get my FULL money back out of it or pretty close to it, so the risk seems pretty low thanks to you guys that have taken all the risk with these first few orders! Thanks again for sharing!

For you guys that have these toppers, do they leak water at all?

I don't have access for direct measurements of the side hatch openings right now. I use these 12galloon husky tubs (18W x 27L x 10H) and can easily slide them in/out the openings with side hatches open.

Mine leaks a little bit on the front driver side of the flatbed because I did not put sealant. I only relied on the 3M bulb seal. Leak will be taken care of if I add sealant.

I ended up ordering one with the mounting panels on the side doors. It's supposed to hit the port in a week so I should have it in a few weeks. I'll post an update once I get mine on. I opted for the 3mm thick version so hopefully that's what is sent.

Just out of curiosity, for anyone that has already ordered and received this. I just got an email from the freight forwarder asking me to "have any needed tools to unload ready because the driver will not unload"
Did it require a forklift or what? I appreciate any info. This just came through. I was assuming the driving had a lift gate at least lol

My aluminum shell was fairly light. Secured in a pallet so just a bit bulky. My wife accepted delivery, they did drop in my garage but she put furniture dollies under it and rolled it back to my shop. You could easily end-over-end it I would think also

I was not sure as well at first lol. The notice said that they only drop of curb side and will not deliver to the driveway. So I prepared my dolly . When the truck came, I saw that the dolly will not work lol. Good thing that they hauled it my drive way.

I really hope they will do that for me lol
I think there may be a bit of a language barrier with the freight company but so I'm kind of reading between the lines here but the way they make it sound is like they aren't even going to unload it off the truck lol

Is anyone aware of a model that has a single latch per door? I would need to open and close it a lot (work truck) so dual latches is slightly annoying.

Anyone know which model shell that has the hinges not showing on the outside? I like the smooth look.

Yep, was just wondering if this was the same one some of y'all used. It was from the link posted earlier in the thread.

    What's the deal with 3mm? I didn't ask that?!

I have the opposite problem, they are very fast to reply but its just things like telling me to pay them and worry about the details later. They keep telling me non of there other customers want to know things like shipping details and dimensions prior to paying them.

Yeah, kinda weird. Makes me uneasy. But like someone said, just pay with paypal to further protect yourself - I think that will give you some leverage.

Actually, I've got this guy talking to me now and the "Tacoma World" vendor is $1730 to my door with all duties, shipping, etc. (aluminum canopy for F250 + cross bars) and the other vendor (from Reddit is $1395 to my door)
