St Maxx are known to pull to the right, there's a poll on here in one of the St Maxx threads about it. I just got some skinny 33s mounted a few weeks ago and despite getting 3 alignments done since then, it still pulls right.

They're great tires in every respect except that

Trying to wrap my head around this. You hit on left side correct? Was wheel straight of turned left or right when you hit? I’m my mind you’d be pulling left not right if this was the case. The metal sound could have been the stops on the spindle hitting stops on lower control arm. Wondering if somehow you got frame damage and it’s just hiding behind your alignment numbers. Also wondering if the steering rack sustained internal damage but it only surfaces when power steering pumps is running it pushes the steering to the left even if its straight and neutral with the engine off. Maybe ask the alignment shop to set the alignment and steering perfectly straight then start the engine and see if it changes while still on rack.

i have a feeling there is something like this. strangely, this was just not at all a hard hit. wheel was turned slightly right. didn't even hit the full curb. that's why I'm thinking it may be an Achilles... just the weak link at the wrong time & place. got a feeling the front end is gonna be disassembled for this.
Briscoe in Denton now. that's shop #2.
see above. i will show this to my SA. yeah they do a ton of work trucks but only the occasional Tundra over there.

thanks for all the input y'all.

Must be pretty bad or you feel it’s unsafe if it’s being towed? Going to another shop or the dealership? Hope you get to the bottom of it- good luck.

Was going to suggest taking it to them to check alignment or diagnose the issue. Good call

yeah it's almost safe to drive but not so much on the highway. that and i'm slammed at work and just need to get it out there.

i've had it at 3 shops so far. it's had 5 alignments and 4 tire rotations. and as of yesterday the metallic sound happened again and the 5th alignment was lost and now it's a total mess all over again.

this is actually quite an interesting story, especially for folks with SPC UCA's. i have a tentative diagnosis, but it needs validation by getting this all corrected. Tandem will deal with it next week, and if the planned fix is correct then I'll share the whole story. this has been a huge PITA to figure out.

a teenage shop tech at a shop out in Lewisville stripped the rear driver side LCA cam bolt and didn't know or tell anyone. he also put the skid pan on obviously crooked, and it didn't need to be removed in the first place, so I'm guessing he's just an idiot and was unaware.

The bolt had enough threads to stay in, but not enough to stay firm. so, when on the rack, it aligned fine, over & over. because there were no forces applied. drive off the rack and it would go bad again straight away. Pablo at Tandem Auto diagnosed and fixed it. i tried to get the previous shops to look that deep but they wouldn't. i knew something was in there and Pablo went straight to it.

Is this Tandom OR in Haltom City? Looking for a place for an alignment - need minor camber adjustment and check caster. I might be at 3.2 caster. But dont really trust most shops. Case in point, that kid in Lewisville.

appreciate that. Tandem is the only place I go now, and with the level of detail I'm getting in feedback now with my modifications, i need it dialed in, so Pablo is the only guy who can seem to do it. he has done the following for my current alignment after getting Marlin Crawler HD frame braces up front with Hammer Hangers in the rear on top of E tires. the truck drives itself, and allows for no slop.

    camber 0.0 L & R
    caster 4.0 L & R
    toe in 0.05 L & R
