Care to specify why you're only interested in hearing from 3rd gen owners? Either seems like you don't really know the similarities in generations and how to use the search function works to learn from all the other guys on here who use them.

I appreciate the information but why would I do an straight axle swap if I’m posting in the long travel forums? My truck isn’t a rock crawler not will it ever be. It’s a pre runner and that’s the way my build will finish as. Also NOT all cam tab kits work for third gens. The taco tab kit many pre runner Tacoma’s run doesn’t work for third gens actually. That’s why I was asking if any one was running a poly performance kit to see if they had modified it for a third gen.

im interested in the third gens because some
Of the cam tab kits don’t work for third gens and there is less option for the third gens over second gens. If you used the search bar yourselve you would of known that also. So that’s why I was asking because I was wondering if anyone had modified a poly performance taco tab kit to work for a third gen.

It’s well known 3rd gens need different parts but cam gussets are the same product with different size parts made for all the gens.

Drilling a hole through a piece of flat stock isn’t hard to do. If you were more specific about your setup and wheeling you’d be more likely to have useful answers about cam bolt lockouts.

It was the capitalized “third” that makes it sounds like no one that drives another gen would have any useful information - it would be smarter to ask a bunch of different gens with experience since these parts are doing the same thing on every truck they are installed on.

Hmm, that might be tough, but good to know. I'll keep that in mind.

truck runs a lot of trails, light 4 wheeling and a lot of desert activity and dunes. i can hit a speed bump too fast and the alignment is instantly ruined. its a never ending battle. thats why i was trying to fix the issue with the cam tabs, being from what i have read and heard it will fix my issue. but the point of my post was so i could go back and forth with people that already have the different cam tab kits installed so i could find what they like and dont like from each individual kit. problems and what not.
