    Hey guys,

just got done installing my king lift, with some new UCA's as well. Ive been through 2 alignments so far and im still not fully happy with the ride.

    my current settings are:

    0 camber
    0 toe
    ~1.7 caster

i am reading that 2.4 caster or so is ideal for a perfect setting. right now the car feels floaty/light at highway speeds. not as sketchy as when i had stock UCAs though, so thats a plus!

however, my real question, if i am understand caster correctly, if we add more positive caster, would that push the forward in the wheel well more? i am rubbing ever so slightly on the back of my fender when turning, i am wondering if adding more caster will a) fix the floaty and b) push the tire up enough to eliminate the rub.

thoughts? am i on the right track of understanding this?

Correct. Adding more caster using the LCA adjustments will move the tire forward, adding more clearance. The added caster helps reduce the twitchy/floating feeling you describe.

1.7 is pretty low IMO. Most here suggest around 3. I prefer more towards 4.

I have camburg UCA's and the caster is set at 2.5 and its awesome. I had the same wondering problem you speak of and this took care of it completely.

I could get above 3.0 with my LR UCA's if I wanted to

    awesome, thanks for confirming bro

yea the alignment guy i called this morning does work for some of the camburg trucks. and he said he could easily they them 5* of caster. apparently those UCA's are super tuner status!

hoping i can get at least 2.5 out of mine.

Does anything else hinder the caster being higher? When I had mine aligned I told the to get it to 3 and they claimed the highest they could get it was 2.5? I hate to pay for another alignment but I sure would like it if it was higher it makes the truck feel like its on rails LOVE it.
