I just got home from the Toyota dealership. After sitting three hours they came out to inform me that the camber on the drivers side is at -1.1 deg. I just replaced the upper control arms with the light racing ones. I have icon coilovers. Just did the lbjs and tie rods also. The dealership could not tell me why it would not come into spec. Maybe a bad upper control arm or they said maybe the lower one is bent or some shit?? Truck pulls pretty bad to the left also due to this issue I assume. I am attaching the print out. Any help is appreciated. I was getting new tires Monday however holding off till I figure out what to do.

Actually the front ones are fine....I think the control arm might be off... its adjusted all the way out... and still not enough... so kinda doubt its the tire

It could also be a bent shock tower. Look closely at where the tower attaches to the frame for cracks, and try to compare it to the other side. It's not going to be obvious, it's probably bent less than 1/2" (if that's what it is).

You say the truck still pulls to the left after alignment?

Negative camber tend to roll the tire toward the center of the truck, so if anything it should be pulling to the right. Note -1.1 deg is still within service manual tolerance, albeit at the edge of tolerance.

Do a hub-to-fender measurement at each front wheel. How much of a difference do you see between left and right?

What's your ball joint look like? Take a picture. Mine was not set right and I had serious camber.

If that's your initial gut feeling, don't dismiss it completely. Good info being put up so read and compare. To spec the arms, they gotta come off, and pulled apart to get measured properly. Do the easy checks first,,eliminate those.

A second opinion before a hammer gets picked up. Take it to a different shop.

Captain Obvious says to set the other side the same amount,,he says go 2° for the Score truck look. Be ready to add bump steer shims and do other funky things.

Would the coil over adjustment have anything to do with it?

You adjusted the coilovers? Disconnect the sway bar and do hub-to-fender measurements. Adjust the coilovers until the height is equal left and right.

Ok I checked everything. Shock tower looks fine....not an imperfection anywhere. She lower shock mount on the lca looks fine also. Everything looks fine as far as I can tell. I adjusted the passenger side coilover 1/4 of an inch so the truck is perfectly level. The pics I am posting are of the drivers side with the truck jacked up. Only thing I noticed is that the drivers side wheel looks like it sits further back to the pinch weld area than the passenger side? IS this normal?

Man. I feel your pain. I wish I could help here. I had horrible camber issues when I installed my lift. My problem was the Uca ball joint. Yours looks good to me.

    Free bump.

Nope,,change of plans. Go back to the same shop and say "Hey, I think I found something that your man missed,,,. Have them rack it and check. Take your print outs with you. Don't go in with both barrels blazing, since you assembled??? and installed the struts.

I didn't find anything other than the drivers side wheel closer to pinch weld. Or would adj. The coil over 1/4 an inch affect anything?

My buddy had a set of these installed on his Tacoma and the only thing I THINK I see is if you look at the UBJ and especially at the "brass" colored piece with the SPC stamped on it, it looks like it is 180 degrees off. I believe that the plate can face either way, but only is correct in one direction. I may be wrong, but I seem to remember noticing that when we were installing my buddy's lift on the front. Worth a look-see!

Over a 1/4 inch?. Well, your releasing pressure on those upper bushings, softening those and letting the strut rod down a bit(however you look at it). So it might have been holding the suspension a bit. Savvy?. It can change angles on multiple levels because it is like a rubber ball joint on top of there. If you lock the top of the strut with the rubber donuts and locknuts,,the bottom cant do it's job like it should,,and then opposite of that, vice versa.

For the most part it's plug and play,,but those strut rod lengths need to be ideal or you have issues. Some trucks get away with it,,and some don't.

This is where my driver side ubj sits. Looks to be in the same position as yours.
