I've seen that kit before or similar cam bolt setups. Someone posted in my build thread (IIRC) and said they were replacing it with the poly performance taco tabs because they could still spin if hit hard enough.

I can try to find it but if you're not doing as much offroading, the KPO kit should work.

I can’t imagine the KPO kit rotating in there. I’ve got them on my truck with the stock tabs and it seems pretty solid. I wonder how hard the person have to hit something to move it.

Ive not done any off roading since I installed them but driving in MD and PA, I’ve hit some huge pot holes going faster than I’d like…

Let me check what kit it was. I think there was more sides than that kit and it looked more round than that.

EDIT: it's the bison kit and the guy got the kit for free. He said he would have got the taco tabs if he was to pay for a kit:

lime others have said, hitting bumps and not having the bolts torqued can and usually will result in a failed alignment?

in that one pic it looks like the tab is somewhat bent over, that can be causing your issues.
I got the kpo kit after an alignment shop and a giant pot hole fubared some tabs and the bolt threads. I’m not sure if the pot hole or over torquing the bolt/nut did that. You can kinda see the gouged threads in the picture. I had not removed the bolt until that pic and the alignment shop should not have either. After that no matter what I did, it would not torque or stay solid. That bolt moved all around in there.
I’m glad I got the kit I did. I just bent the tabs back over and will get the new ones welded on at some point.
Thanks for sharing. I saw a comment about the bushings for the bison kit being a possible issue. Luckily the kpo has solid bolts so no extra bushings. I slathered them in anti seize before installing.

Several things could have happened here but one is what I think happened.

    1. Wheeled really hard and moved that lca cam which smashed the tab flat. By the way, check the ther 3 cams.

    2. Tech didn't torque the cams properly after completion of the alignment thus allowing movement and the tab smashing. Why didn't the other one do the same thing then? I guess it could have been a little tighter and held.

    3. The tech didn't loosen the bolt BEFORE turning other side to make the adjustment. I've actually stopped a tech from doing this during training and had a tech do this to my 4Runner. I had to use a cold chisel and hammer to get under it and bend it out a little then use a large pair of vice grips crimp REALLY tight to bend it out. Then the hammer again with a drift to get it as vertical as possible. I think this may be what happened because that cam is now upside down and looks like it was turned that direction, which, when the bolt isn't loosened, the oblong part of the cam turns and flattens the tab. The whole time the tech just thinks the bolt is stuck and keeps turning with a big wrench or an impact until he realizes what he's done and says "Oops"

Poly Performance website shows those are for 09-15, (2nd Gen) Tacos. No problem fitting them on your 3rd Gen?
