I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I have kind of done my lift as I could. I got my front 5100's done a couple of months ago and the alignment came out good. Yesterday I was able to use a friends lift to install my TSB AAL's. I know that I should get an alignment but my question is how bad would the AAL install throw off the
front end? My main reason why I might want to put this off is because I have new wheels going on after they get powdercoated. Do you guys think I might be OK for a little bit?

It probably doesn't have a big affect. Because they are leaf springs and solid axles, they are pretty well located and don't change the alignment. Since they are leaf springs, you actually only get a "2-wheel alignment" when you go to the store because the rears are not adjustable like an independent rear suspension may be.

I'd still get an alignment when you're done, but you'll be okay for awhile.

And make sure they check the rear wheels the next time you get it aligned. They aren't adjustable, but that doesn't mean that it's right.

When I did my AALs...The rear went back in a little right side forward...Just a tiny bit of a play in the springs/pin/mounts made it a little weird.

Your truck won't fall apart or anything. There are plenty of people driving around with fucked alignments that don't even know it. It'll wear your tires a little faster, that's all.

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
Put the lift on (2.5" poly spacer in front and aal's in rear, wit front diff drop) and test drove it. I heard a vvvvrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr noise that was consistent with speed. Sounded like it was the outside sipes of the tire coming in contact with the road, so I figured alignment would take care of that. Got that done and checked to make sure nothing was rubbing and the cv shafts were good. Everything is good except I still have the same noise even after aligning it. I noticed the NTB I took it to used 09' specs and I have a 10'. Shouldn't be a difference though. When I look at the alignment printout the toe is spot on, camber is fairly close to spec, but caster is off in the positive. It doesn't seem that this would create this noise though. What I am wondering if anyone has had this same problem and what have you done to correct it. I have checked the diff and cv's for excessive heat after driving and they are close to ambient.

Thanks Guys for the input. As far as the driving goes it seems good to me, nice and straight. I am going to wait to get the wheels on and then I will get the alignment. Hopefully I can get this done soon but its snowmobile season and money goes there this time of year.
