yeah I still have the noise, it comes and goes as it wishes!!! I am sure it is the axles, but I spent enough already!!!

I just put the newer UCA's, and went for my 2nd alignment.. Can not get it into spec.

    best I got was
    Caster - 2.5
    Camber - .8
    Toe - .0

So I am done spending money on chasing my tail.
( I might just lower it back to stock again or trade it in on a "14" )

might need a front differential drop kit?? :notsure: they are about $30, don't know anything about installing them though. this is just an idea

EDIT: nvm just read some threads on how they don't do anything or even cause more damage... :anonymous: hope you get everything figured out OP

yeah I wish that was it Kevin, but thanks for the advise..

I installed the diff drop weeks before the UCAs, it helped a little.

The noise will be louder some days, and the next lower. Then some days barely there. maybe the axles need to settle into a new position, and will go away in time??? ( because soon as I put it in 4x4 mode, its gone. )

Your alignment is awesome now, the caster is just a touch high, but not enough to worry about. Anytime you lift a truck, there will be nuances, a slight vibe at a certain speed isn't anything to trade your truck over. My suggestion is get rid of the diff drop and carrier bearing drop, it's been proven that these are pointless on 2nd gens (carrier bearing helps if you lift the rear more than 3 inches). If you still have some vibes, get yourself some axle shims for the back. Replacing your front axle's aren't going to do much for you unless they are in real bad shape.

In addition, if you haven't done it already, get your front hub bearings replaced.

Try looking into the front diff bearing vibes in the 2nd gen forum. They've been using this:

    Here's the mega thread:

Kylenotjon I second that. ECGS has a replacement for the crappy needle bearing your hearing in your front diff left side outer where the axle shaft plugs in. Even the Toyota TSB needle bearing made by a different manufacturer has the same problems. They never should have put a nice ball bearing on the right and a crappy needle on the left. There is a great write up on here about the front diff noise. Check it out!
