Hey guys I gotta 1998 Tacoma with some steering rack issues i believe.

I took it to get aligned after i bought some new tires. They told me they couldn't get it perfectly aligned and that i needed to buy a new part that was bent, bought it and we fixed it and so i took the truck to Toyota to get it aligned. and after 4+ hours the guys come out and tell me i need a whole new rack. Which was confusing because 2 days ago another shop told me i just needed one stupid little part to fix it. So i just left it how it was it wasn't too bad out of alignment.

Now when driving the steering will pull to whatever side you turn the wheel too. So if you turn the wheel all the way to the right and then drive it pulls right but if you turn all the way left, it goes left.

When looking at it, it dosent seem to move at all it seems all perfectly fine. But its so annoying to me now that im about to just get a whole new rack.

I'm researching this because I am having the same issue. Putting in a new rack myself on Monday. Hope you got yours fixed and everything is good with yours.
