A little while ago I lifted DCSB Tacoma with OME 885x on 5100 at 0 with 1" blocks and TSB in rear. With LR UCA I was at around 2.4 Caster and 0 on the Camber and Toe so was good driving. Soon after I installed Leer Camper shell and received a "Cali Style" sag and bottom out and driving habits changed due to camper.

New Solution was Wheelers 3 pack Progressive AAL with overload which puts me perfectly level to maybe a tad high in rear so went to get alignment done today and the numbers and what they told me made no sense.

    Caster was L - 1.7 and R - 1.9
Cant Remember Toe and Camber (They kept paper so they can try again tomorrow)

The Tech stated that there was nothing else he can do because the Lower Control Arm is maxed out adjustment on the Passenger side.

    ************
Light Racing UCA is set at the "D" setting 2.0* (LOGO Facing Out) As directions says.

What can I do to make this better. Some people seem to get it nailed perfect right away. Any advice will help since appointment for tomorrow is at 9:30.

I don't have any advice to offer other than they are doing something wrong. If you're sure you UCA's were properly installed, then there's no other explanation unless you have damage some place.

Doesnt't that control arm have more adjustment. I thought it went to 4 degrees or something. The tech needs to look more into it.

I don't know why your caster is so far out, but as stated above you have more adjustment on the UCA's.

You have them set in the "middle" right now. You could add or subtract 2 degrees from the position they're set at.

Both my Taco and FJ have 3" lifts with LR UCA's and with the logo facing out the caster was in spec.

    Link to LR instructions

Here is a note from the instructions that I would take a look at:

Camber and caster can be set with the SPC upper control arm, as well as the oem lower control arm eccentric bolts. In most cases, it is recommended that the lower eccentrics be set to their neutral position. This way they can be used to fine-tune caster. alternately, if caster is set for max positive by the oem lower cams, and final alignment achieved with via the SPC upper balljoint setting, more tire clearance may be obtained at the rear of the wheel opening.

Thanks OZ. I have read it a few times and still slightly confused. I understand if adjust UCA caster + it moves wheel towards cab mount which I have them chopped for my 285s. But with my 885 on 5100 everything I read claims then SPC Logo out is what it should be.

Should I adjust UCA caster at ball joint or try and have them use the camber adjuster on I UCA and use lowers and tie rods for rest?

I'm not sure why you are having issues getting more caster with your set up

I have 885's and got 2 1/2" of lift from them , my LR UCA's are set at the neutral position ( SPC logo out ) and we were able to get 3.0 degrees of caster on both sides

Perhaps the alignment tech is sacrificing caster in order to get the camber you want without realizing he can adjust camber at the top nut / slide on the LR UCA

Did you give the tech a copy of the LR instructions?

Just left after had to wait for people car in front of me.

    Camber
    L .6 R 1.2
    Caster
    L 2.4 R 2.7
    Toe
    L .07 R .07

    Camber is little high
    Caster is a lot better.

Will this camber affect tire wear?

Oh well not sure, they didnt mention anything about it. Just curious if it will affect my tire wear since its "in specs" to Toyota but barely.
