I have a similar issue to yours my toe and caster is dead on but I am back on right side and forward on my left and not by much but more than my factory cams can adjust to. I do not know if your springs have the abilty to be loosened and turned so you can rotate the spring itself. My lift gives me the ability to do this and you should be able to also do this. There was TSB on Camry's and Solaras for a pulling condintion and rotating the spring was part of the TSB. It works like a champ. I will do this to my truck as I get the time and since it is not a tire wear issue I am not overly concerned, but my steering wheel is slightly off and she does drift/pull right.

I had the same problem on my old Dakota.....pulling right.....had it aligned & still didn't fix it.

It was the balancing on the tires.

Well, I was about to start wrenching on my truck. I was going to make small adjustments to my tie rods. Turning the right front tire towards the left a little to stop my truck from pulling to the right. Then I noticed the rear alignment numbers. Is that toe numbers in the rear bad? I think there is no way to adjust the rear toe...

Its so frustrating having to hold the steering wheel from pulling my truck to the right.

Also, anyone know if a positive number is left or right? If my right front tow is +.o2 is that pointing towards the left or the right.

A good alignment tech should be able to dial out a pull (if it's not in the tires). If all they do is point to the caster/camber/toe within spec, they aren't very skilled. A great tech will test drive and eliminate that before you even ask.

Good alignment techs are really hard to find. Nobody pays what it is worth. If you do locate one treat him right. I usually drop a modest tip if it's a good job (green printout, wheel straight and no pull).

My last alignment was at dealer (after TSB). Wheel was off center and it pulled right afterward. I told them to keep it until they got it right. They did, but it took a whole day.

Just curious, what would cause cross camber to be out of spec but everything else be in spec? I got an alignment done and everything is in spec except for the front cross camber. I plan on taking it back to the dealer to see whats up with it.

Positive front toe means it is pointing in, doesn't matter whether it's on the left or right side.

Cross camber is the difference in camber readings between the left and right sides. Most manufacturer allow a 1/2 degree to a full degree before being out of spec. I think our Taco's like the 1/2 degree more. If it's out of spec, then an adjustment needs to be completed.
(Camber tends to pull to the side with the most positive degree.)

I would be curious to know how you can change rear individual toe on a solid axle? (See Printout)
But with camber more positive on the right and more negative on the left, it will most definitely pull.

    Dear Taco heads,

I'm new to the forum and have been reading all of the alignment issues after lifts were installed. I appreciate the info but my brain is about fried with the subject. As you can guess I am having alignment problems so I will start from the beginning.

2006 4x4 off road trd access cab with ToyTec 3" front lift (new springs), 2.5" rear lift AAL's and new BFG 285/75-16's. All else is completely stock.

I am mechanically inclined and installed the lift myself. Prior to installing the lift I drove 40K miles with the truck stock (had 265/70-16 BFG rugged's). The truck has always steered/handled nicely. Eventually I had front tire wear bad on the inner tread and decided to do the lift and new skins. After installing the goodies the truck actually felt better steering and handling. Being concious of my $900 new tires I took it to toyota for an alignment to get the most life for my tires. This is where the nightmare begins.

I been back complaining to toyota twice now with two seperate alignment checks with print outs within 4 days off each other. I only put 80 miles on the truck in 4 days and the alignment printouts are considerably different. The truck is drifting/pulling to the right slightly on the highway. I dont notice any drifting pulling on while at slower speeds up to 45-50 mph. If you view the truck from the front end it appears that the front tires are "riding on the outbd edge." The passenger front tire is visually obvious that is leaning outbd at the top of the tire. Can you all help me decipher what I have explained physically with reference to the attached alignment sheets. Sorry guys.... cant figure out how to attach the alignment sheets maybe someone explain that one to me also.

    Sincere appreciation,
    Rnnonmt

You want to have your alignment as follows:

    Camber: 0*
    Toe: 0*
Caster: 2.3* to 3.1* (BUT, as you are lifted 3" with no mention of aftermarket UCA's, your Caster may be closer to .6*)

Sounds like the Camber is out of wack. Have them do it again, and tell them to set to the values I listed.

    Thanks for the welcom Chris4X4.

Yes, I have stk UCA's and Yes you are right on with your assumption of degrees of my caster. I would like to post the alignment results so you all can see and help explain to me what is going on. I think I am worse than before I had it aligned Do you know how to upload an attachements so I can post the alignment results?

Ok......Caster looks to be as good as it will get with your lift and stock UCA's
    Toe looks fine
BUT, the Camber is out of wack.
Camber needs to be 0* L and R.
Tell then to re do it. Also, tell them to set as follows
    Camber: 0*
    Toe: 0*
    Caster: .6/7*

The guy is an idiot, and have them make it right.

Thanks again Chris4X4. I called toyota corporate and told them of my experience with one of the local toyota dealers in the valley and I got a return call from their customer relations mgr today. Finally, someone who wants to help make it right again. I think I figured out how to do the attachments.:)
