You just dont get it and at this point I dont think you will. No digging holes on my part, just using the shovel to move some trash around in this now worthless thread.

The factory ball-joint that Toyota supplies is a very high quality part ... the problem is Toyota does NOT sell it individually. They will only sell you a complete upper arm with it pre-installed. The next best thing is the MOOG ball-joint which is readily available. That is why we use that. We don't claim it to be better than the stock ball-joint, because its not ... that doesnt make it a bad choice though. If someone wants the highest quality upper arm, thats what our uniball arm is for. Our ball-joint arm is a cheaper alternative, plus a ball-joint holds up to harsher environments better since its sealed and encased in grease. A uniball arm isnt for everyone nor is a ball-joint arm. They both have their time and place.

Go back and read what I wrote without the chip on your shoulder and finger on the trigger ... you might learn a little more. After all we're always learning daily.

    Now Im officially done .....

So blackout just got 3.1 castor on each side with his new JBA upper control arms and the positive camber of 0.5 on both sides

Please post pictures of all 4 alignments cams so we can get the full story before you keep calling out vendors on here. Alignment spec sheet isn't that helpful.

The arms do in fact add caster, sounds to me like there's an issue somewhere else if the cams are truly maxed out. Something's bent, frame was welded on a Friday, who know's. The only thing that Camburg should clearly state is the amount of castor the arms are suppose to add all things being equal, which is simply how far back they moved the ball joint.

Continuing to bash Camburg isn't the solution.

I just googled JBA uca and came across a price of $350. That's a hell of a lot cheaper than the other arms I've looked at. Are these adjustable? Hows the overall quality?

Those are the old style arms that did not correct caster apparently. The new "high caster" style are $450 and $700 for regular and high strength, respectively.

Is 2.4 castor close to what it should be at 2.5" of lift?

Gotcha. Reason I ask, my last truck was at 2.5" on factory ucas and it rode bad because I couldn't get the correct caster. I'm currently at 1.75 to avoid the caster issue, but if those arms got me close to the correct numbers and rode nice I'd consider them.

I'm aware of the LR update, and it appears you were as well.

Just trying to understand your current disdain for Camburg when you seem to have educated yourself on both options.

    Carry on,

Just because I thought they were the better choice and to try something different from the last time. Really thought I would have gotten better alignment specs out of them though. Oh well it is what it is. People keep telling me the 0.4 and 0.5 positive Camber really isn't an issue, we shall see

Just got my alignment redone, and the truck rides great! No more rubbing in reverse on drivers side. If you get the kit from headstrong bilstein 5100s set at 0/ome 885 with driver side spacer/lr uca set at the d position/Deaver AAL you will be fine on bfg ko2 275s FYI

Faulting Camburg for not being tuned into the specifics of cheap crappy parts is like making fun of NASA for not knowing the specs of your $99 KMart drone.

I think you guys got seriously out of hand with Camburg, this whole thread is full people whose aftermarket and off-roading experience consists of what they have read on this forum and low end junk parts such as 5100's and OME anything which BTW is Aussie Pep Boys crap vs. Camburg that builds $250,000 + race trucks. Do you think there is really anything that you know or can say that matches Camburgs suspension knowledge ? You guys are on two different planets approaching this issue from two vastly different views and none of you are grasping the fact that Camburg is focusing on true performance & geometry and being at a ride height that also puts you close to the middle of your shocks travel.

What he stated regarding why the top shops build their UCA's for 2.5" is true. All of the quality aftermarket shocks I.E.: King & Fox etc are designed to be at 2.5" max - sure you can pre load the crap out of them and go to 3"+ so you can have a sweet lifted street queen but your riding nearly topped out in the shocks stroke which is just stupid. Camburg is relaying true performance and geometry issues to you guys and it is flying over your heads so fast that it is leaving a hole in the wall behind you...then you respond with some childish shit and the rest of you with 5100 level knowledge all clap ...and you are arguing because some other manufacturers have built products to support the morons that care more about looks than performance and acting like they must be better than Camburg or have more knowledge that Camburg ? This thread is like watching a second grader argue with Einstein or in equivalent terms Billstein argue with King or LR argue with Camburg.

Why would Camburg assume that someone would want to lift their truck to a point that was performance stupid ?

Do you understand how stupid it is when you lift an OE length shock so that you only have 1" of droop travel ?

Wow nice to know that all of us members driving on OME/5100's Eibachs have garbage suspension.
