All 2nd gen Tacomas needing the re-flash!!!(2009-2010)
Okay, so I just got back from getting mine done. I had to get the pedal recall, oil changed and tires balanced and rotated so I decided to see about the tsb for the re-flash.

When I asked about the reflash, my mechanic told me that when he shaves my gas pedal, he has to do the reflash as well. It is mandatory!

So when I saw the tsb had the ID of 30449200 I wanted to make sure that is what I got done. When he set up the computer it showed I had the 30449100 I think it was. May have been the 30449000 but can't remember.

When he checked to see which one I needed, he saw the id number 30449300. He said this is the most updated one and it over rides the 30449200 code. I believe the 30449300 code includes the 2010 models as well as the 2009 models. the 30449200 only included the 2009 models so that may be why so many 2010 guys were getting the run around.

My truck shifts smoother and I don't feel the lag anymore. The pedal looks good as well.

So, if you want the reflash, shave that pedal and it will be done with no hesitation from service guys! Hope this helps!

2010 tacoma Had the original reflash done and all was fine. Took truck in for spring tsb all was good. Then back in for gas pedal trim and now when I shift truck in to drive I have a hesitation before it actually shifts into gear. I find this more when shifting from reverse to drive when backing out of parking spaces. Doesn't do it all the time just once in a while. Anyone else have this issue?

i had a problem like this on my 07 DC OR. it wasn't due to a reflash.
i took it to the dealer and they had the truck for 3 days and couldnt figure out what the problem. finally they called the Toyota Tech dept and found out that they had to replace my whole wiring harness. good thing i got a warranty when i bought it! hope this points u in the right direction
