Yeah that sounds about right. The past few years I've been thinking that they are going to end up shutting down the forests in CA after July, especially in dry years. These forests needed to burn a long time ago. Now there's so much fuel and everything's so dry that it's going to burn everything to the ground.

This is a good idea considering the fire activity this year (and years past). I suspect that it will be very difficult to enforce.

It's a good move. We had a trip planned to Shasta to camp with family from out of state, now that fell through, along with the Oregon fire that is close to their home.

If no rain there won't be any hunting seasons.

If you study weather patterns there was always a high probability a rain/snow storm would hit the Sierras the 3rd week of October. But that's all changed the last 10yrs.

The necessity of periodic fires and the state of the planet in general aside, it would also be super nice if we could teach people to not screw everything up all the time. As a resident of Diet California, I am not looking forward to similar actions in my state.

Most likely won't lift the closures until the first rain, so I surrendered my X9B tag to get my points back, just in case.
