So after all the hype of the other thread going no where. I started to look further in to the process my self. I found a few information that will be helpfull for those who want an one the all in one key DIY.

So there are a few options on this set up.

First you can buy the all in one key from ebay...
There are 2 different keys; one key has the G stamp and the transponder built in which is what Our tacomas need to work properly to start the truck. But then there is the NONtransponder key, more to explanation about that later

    6F8F5DB7-3FB0-4716-A651-56192B08A83A_zps_3987d520254a01e71da504ec9c45fd9b3acac90d.jpg

First get the key cut same as your original key at a local hardware store..less than $10ish

    Then

Here is the info needed to program the fob all-in-one key to work on your truck lock/unlock/panic
    http://www.programyourremote.com/mobile/classified/-toyota-tacoma-listing-7381.aspx

Ok so that is how to program the key fob

Now if you bought the all in one key WITH the transponder you need to either
    1) bring the key and truck to dealer to get the chip programmed to truck to be able to start the truck because the transponder
    Or
    2) purchase a Toyota smart key maker. Then you are able to program the key your self with the following information in the link below
    http://www.ecutool.com/Toyota-Smart-Keymaker-OBD_1113.html

Then with the option if you buy the cheaper all in one key WithOut the transponder. The bypass option.

    http://youtu.be/x4v8l75kP_w
Or you could just tape the whole damn key in the column near the ignition that way you could use multiple copy keys. Or you can simple place the chip in the all in one key but then that one key and the one original key will only work

Disclaimer! I am not responsable if you F*** something up...I have not done this yet on my truck but I have heard and read success of the above descriptions on all in one keys. I will be doing this mod soon, thankfully a friend works at toyota so he will help after I purchase my key...

I believe this is the key With the need transponder that could be programmed to Start the truck http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=310959974745

    Also here http://www.tacomaworld.com/out.php?...licker-For-GQ43VT20T-ALL-IN-ONE-/331335851907
This is the one neneago(a member on here) is selling on eBay. He has a video of the key programmed and working properly.

I would purchase the key neneago sell because one he is a member on the forum and second he has successfully programmed the key to a tacoma.
If you read the description of the item. Some keys state with the transponder and some say Without.

I pmed neneago about pricing of the key and what not but he never pmed me back...
There is plenty of intreserst of having the all in one key by a good bit of members so I'm sure he would sell quit a few.
I believe the problem was there was not a full description of exactly what was being sold and the exact the process of how the key will work.
Hopefully he will post and update.

So I assume if you purchase the key neneago sells on eBay and follow my procedure of my first post the key should work properly, lock/unlock/panic and start ignition

That guy seems to be selling most of the toyota all in one key...that's key does have the transponder but does not match with our trucks so you would have to take the chip out of your original key and place it in the shell replacing the provided transponder of the new key or perform the chip bypass mod with the utube video. I do not know 100% if the internals of the key is compatible with our trucks to be programmed to lock/unlock/panic

    I would purchase http://www.tacomaworld.com/out.php?...licker-For-GQ43VT20T-ALL-IN-ONE-/331335851907
Because neneago has programmed that key to our tacomas. It's onlt $15 more to insure it will work

The key is built to the customers need. With or without transponder and transponder type.

This is a general information thread, neneago. Please don't confuse it with your own thread.

I understand where your coming from... I simply posted this thread as a HOW TO, to help other understanding how the all in one key works

Edited sorry didn't read it correctly

Yes your correct. Thanks for posting again

Basically the all in one keys must have the internals to be compatible with our truck the FCC number on the back of the fob. So it can be programmed properly. Can't just use a all in one key made for a corolla for a tacoma..

I can verify that the key does in fact work with 2013 tacoma. Ace hardware cut the key for free and I used Techstream to program immobilizer chip. Was also able to program keyfob part.

    More than I can afford
    Neat!

    Silly question.
Does the anti theft system in our trucks have the capability of understanding a second command channel and does it have an output for same?
IE the trunk button on the pictured key.
Reason I ask is I could have some use for it, being able to unlock just my camper shell would be handy. Currently it unlocks with the driver door.
Sounds silly but if toyota uses the same anti theft system in other vehicles that have a trunk, that capability might be there.
