I bought an All-In-One key off ebay for my 2014 Tacoma DBCB with a "G" stamped on the key. I have programmed the remote buttons, no problem. I took it to Home Depot and called Lowe's and Walmart and they all have machines that have them pick make/model/year and they only have 2005-2010 listed for Tacoma so they don't want to cut and try to program it. Is the 2005-2010 they have listed the same or do I need to keep shopping for a retailer with a machine that says it can do 2011-2014?

    Thanks

If you have 2 good keys then open the new key and move the transponder chip from one of the keys to the new key. No programing needed then, just have the key cut.

I want to keep both my original keys working. Any suggestions on where to get my new key cloned?

    Thanks

either a dealer can do it or a lock smith thats up to date on technology and has the software to do it.

about a month after purchasing my truck i noticed the spare was bent so i asked my dealer to make me a copy. they hooked it up for free. i think they look to charge $80 or $90 to those who didn't recently spend $30,000 there.

so if i pick up an all-in-one key i would have to:

    1) get key
    2) get key cut
    3) cut transponder out of bent key
    4) cut/insert transponder into all-in-one key
    5) roll

    es verdad, no?

The key halves just split apart. The chip is held in with silicone and easy to pry out.

is it strange that these are not built to allow for battery replacement? you're going to be either getting a new key and going through the programming/transponder replacing bit or you get crafty and do key implant surgery.

anyone know how log the batteries last in the all-in-one or do you have one for another model vehicle and can speak to battery longevity? reckon the battery would last as long as a regular fob?

    1. I bought an all in one key from ovnisf on ebay for $49.95.
    2. Bought USB - ODBII cable with Techstream from egrow on eBay for $25.99.
    3. Programmed the remote using http://www.chadspictures.com/automotive/How-To-Program-Toyota-Key-Fob/
    4. Had Home Depot cut the key, they just told their machine it was a non-transponder key, they cut it for free.
    5. Programmed the transponder using Techstream.

    Works like a champ.

This is pretty old thread. But I have a 2013 Tacoma. I found the all in one key fob on eBay. But can the remote unlock/lock/panic still be programmed even tho the FCC numbers aren't the same ?

Near as I can tell, the all in 1 keys like in this thread, are no longer available for Tacos. I have the switchblade key from ebay.

I've had both. When I traded in my 2006 for the 2013 I was disappointed at first that you could only get the switchblade. But I prefer the switchblade over the other one. Less bulk in my pocket.
