Do you just use a razor blade to cut your OEM key open if going the route of switching the chip from an OEM key to the new key? Any areas to avoid slicing so as to not hit the chip inside the OEM key when cutting it open? Looks like a worthy purchase :)

3 places didn't want to cut keys since didn't buy from them 1 locksmith wanted 130.00 cut program. Went to hardware store damn power just went out. Went to another lock smith 100.00 cut and programed. Pissed already so just did it. (Hawaii is expensive.)
Key works great except some times doesn't work if don't press hard enough. Need to press a little harder then factory but not a big deal. Happy with the key. remote fob was pretty bulky.

That would be awesome. Also, not sure what the situation with the flip keys was, but another batch would be great for you, there seemed to be a great deal of interest. I'm just glad I got one.

On a side note, my wife hates the flip key because I always pretend to stab her with it, you know... Assassin's Creed style

    Programming Immobilizer Key:
    1. Purchase a Mini VCI 16 Pin OBDII Cable Cars Diagnostic Scanner For TOYOTA Techstream w/ CD from ebay.com or Amazon.com for around $25.

    2. Follow instructions on this site to get Software and OBDII cable going on Windows 8 x64 and program the immobilizer to see the new key: Program Remote using these instructions:

Just got my key and got it cut and the fob programmed no problem.

Is there any way other than the OBD2 way to program this key to the truck? I am thinking of a series of sequences like how the fob portion was programmed.

For 2014, the only way is via the obd port using TechStream.
