    Ok....so a question :

Keys , chip and cutting works perfect - starts right up and keys fit in the lock like they should , nice and crisp like-new feeling .

However , I cannot for the damned life of me get this awnry sob to go into "programming mode" so I can program the remote portion of the new all-in-one keys .
WFT ? Been through every writeup and video I can find and tried several variations including Toyota's own Bulletin #EL009-07 "Programming OEM Wireless Door Lock Remote Transmitters" . No luck . I'm worried the door hinges are going to wear out , geeze....

    Sarge,

I had to do it a few times when I programmed a key. Turns out I simply didn't wait long enough for it to switch into programming mode. I think I had to wait somthing like 80 seconds. Try again.

    Ain't the chicken dance fun?

I think OP has a video posted on how to program. Check his website/YouTube channel.

Ok , so you mean I didn't wait long enough after the last step of removing the key from the lock ? I've tried slowing down or speeding up the steps with no luck either way...?

I don't have that video in front of me, but I'm gonna make an assumption here that the chicken dance for the Tacoma is similar to the one I used for the Prius. If it is, the step that took 80 seconds was waiting for the dash light to stop flashing so I could remove the key.

Now that's the first I've heard of that requirement - "waiting for the dash light to stop flashing" ? Is that step required before removing the key in the last step ?

I know neneago doesn't want to sell me the flip style key so I went ahead and ordered his all in one key from his website and it came in the mail today. I got the remote part programed to my truck on the first try and the key is high quality so I am very happy with the key itself. I know him and I don't see eye to eye and my attitude gets the best of me sometimes but credit is due where its deserved and his all in one key is top notch and shipping was extremely fast.

No , that video is to program the immobilizer chip - mine are already done by Neneago at his shop - they work great and start the engine just fine .

I'm trying to program the remote locks function on the new all-in-one keys , both the 3-button version as well as the prototype flip key . Can't seem to get the truck itself to enter the programming mode ...

My bad, Sarge...I misunderstood what you are doing. I'm out then - I've never programmed for this feature. Gotta wait on the OP to respond with proper instructions I guess.

LOL - I've got his instructions printed , along with several others that outline the exact same thing , just different wording . No dice , just took another 10 shots at it . About ready to disconnect the battery and reset the whole damned thing . Need to reset the drivetrain ecm anyway and get this trans out of it's bad habits ...

A long shot here...I know on the Prius board that some folks experienced issues with programming when their 12v batteries were weak. So ensure your 12v is adequately charged.

Someone just chimed in - I had disconnected the key sensor that stops the stupid door beeper when the door is opened/key in ignition , seems it cannot recognize the key to enter into programming mode . I could just take a ball bat to this truck right now...

Yup , that was it . Worked 1st time , just as it should . Unplugged that irritating prick after I was done programming , too . Why do they think I need a reminder the key is in the lock ? It won't lock itself if the key is in there , so why chime when the door is opened ? Are humans that stupid ?
Well , guess I answered my own question ....oops .

Anyway - love the keys . And to answer someone's earlier question - it seems as the distance for the remote locks is about the same as the OEM fob unit , so no worries there . The flip key is awesome , gonna like having something smaller in length and beefy enough to carry without worry of bending the snot out of it , or poking something important ....
Santiago - huge thanks !!! Let me know what I owe ya for the flip ...

Has anyone used op all in one key with a remote start? I have read thru all 30 pages and have not seen if anyone has used this with the remote start? Any info would be great.

Pretty sure the remote start has been addressed somewhere, sometime. Hopefully he pops in. Have you tried emailing or PM? He has a full time job and also sells these, so that might be more effective than posting only here.
