Thanks for following through with the review, Sarge.

Since it now has the WeberSarge stamp of approval,
    I WANT!

Don't care about logos if the key itself is the same as above. Function over form.

    OP, PMing you now.

UPDATE: Heard from the OP that Sarge is holding the Holy Grail of flip keys there. No others will ever exist. So Sarge, if you ever get tired of it, PM me.

Very strange....When I tested range on the all enclosed flip..it was horrible.

brny67...The firmware on the remotes is 100% oem...so what you can do with the oem unit, you can do with this remote key.

"The Holy Grail of Flip Keys" , wow - I'm honored . Frankly , I'm damned impressed with it and now I feel bad others can't get one . My range test is to stand inside the old fortress of a brick/steel laced building I live in and hit the button while looking out a door window 30' away , truck is another 30' from there . Worked same or better than the oem fob unit . I need to take a trip today so I'll post some further feedback tonight on range and overall use . Love it so far , the heft of the thing alone is great and curious to see what others think of it with many being Yota haters , lol .

Yesterday's trip showed the remote locks worked just fine for me , 50'+ with no issues . I got messed up in '06 , so don't exactly walk really fast - the doors will re-lock before I can get to the truck anyway . Lovin' this key , nice just to toss it in my pocket...
    Sorry guys...

Still waiting for manufacturer to modify internal shell to accommodate my circuit board. I had to tweak it a lot to get it to work.

I'm in and sub'd on this thread. But OP has said his peace regarding the flip keys, so I'll wait.

Yes, I never wanted to sell them and most are a headache to set up... BUT people keep wanting them and I'll try my best to make a few every once in a while. Would be great if the manufacturer can modify shell. Heard they are going to add panic button.

I'm glad mine doesn't have that stupid panic button - half blind and at night I've hit it several times by accident . So, the issue is the size of the board fitting into the shell itself ? How bad would it be to alter the board to fit , or I suppose you've already looked into that part ...?
I can see why they would be a pain , that stubby key probably wouldn't fit into a lot of cutting machines as well ...?

    Sorry , I like it a lot ...lol .

    +1!
The only time I panic is after I hit the button.

The board in Webersarge flip key is heavily modified that if you took it out right now, most likely it will not work in a remote key shell.

Supplier said he sent me a little gift in the order I made yesterday. I'm thinking he sent VW flip keys. ;-) I have been bugging him a lot.

Just got my key today, I'm hoping to get the dealership to set it up for me tomorrow.
I'm also getting a 3" Pro-Comp lift put in at the dealership, hopefully I can get a break on the key programming
Pretty excited about getting this key hooked up, and the lift:D

So....if I'm understanding this correctly...I just ordered a G Style Flip Key. I just need to follow the programming instructions on your site, or take it to my dealer to have them cut the key and program it, right?
