    I have a "G" key. I thought you said I can't program that myself.

Just a key that needs to get programmed. No remote.
Anyone know of a good locksmith that can do this in the South Orange County area?

My fucking reading comprehension on this thread has been far from spectacular. I pretty much did my lift myself and numerous other mods without having to ask any questions. I feel like one of those people that I normally shake my head at and say, "read the effin directions asshole!!!"

Take a look at the FCC list on my website. I will add the 4runner soon.

Apparently my town is full of worthless locksmiths. I've talked to 4 who have told me it's going to be over $100 to cut & program the key.

Just saw this thread. I'm not gonna read through 33 pages and the search was less than helpful...

If I were to get an all in one key fob, could I or someone else make the trunk pop button work as the remote start button if I had remote start? I'd love the idea of having that. I don't want to deal with a separate fob if I get a remote starter.

John. If it is factory remote start. It will work off the regular fob. If it is aftermarket one. You can STILL have it work off the factory remote with a Pac TR-7 or just tell the installer to wire it up into the factory harness.

If you were in LA, I could do it for you. I did mine in less than a couple minutes.

Edit. Not a locksmith but it would be $free.99 lol

Thanks for the offer. The closest I get to LA these days is barely into Long Beach.

I had a chance to have my new flip key cut and it's transponder programmed today. I also programmed the remote buttons myself. It works great! Much better and way more pocket friendly than hauling around the OEM key and remote. Definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a nice key/remote combo package! It's worth the expense and trouble.

Hey, like the key... Which one did you buy? Do you have a link? And was it easy to fit the remote PCB board in it?

Apoteker... From what I see, it's only a shell that goes over the existing key. Just noticed Toyota logo is upside down... Dont like that.

His already has the PCB in it. The stock one will not fit.
