He got the first flip key, maybe I would've been a better tester...

Still waiting for response back from OP, and I want to order a flip key, might last me a little longer:rolleyes:

I will send pictures to manufacturer. Just go to site and order the flip key. You will be able to add notes to the order page and just remind me to send you a cover.

I was able to program chip keys for my old 4runner using this procedure. I know Toyota reuses these procedures on a lot of vehicles.. has anyone tried this?

I shipped out keys this week and none had a note for a back shell.

Just looked at your order and it says. "Tacoma world link I go by"

Read back a few dozen pages. Does not work for today's G-chip Tacoma keys.

Where is everyone getting theirs cut? Lowes told me they wouldn't do it. Home Depot screwed it up (so, I have to buy a new key blank).

I'm thinking I'll just be driving to the locksmith I found 30 minutes away. Hopefully he knows what he is doing.

    Stock for now...
I was just thinking the other day I need to post some feedback - so here goes ....

First , so far despite having the key in my pocket at work and dealing with being a Mule or Laborer in construction it's been very durable . Not one sign of wear or scratching yet and I've been pretty hard on it . The pivot point has worn a bit just due to starting cycles with the ignition , but it's not really that noticeable overall . I'm really surprised the logo's clear portion hasn't shown scratches , many things that rest in my pocket get sanded from dirt that gets in during the course of the day - cards in my wallet don't last very long including my debit cards which have to be replaced about every 90 days or so - much to the bank's irritation . I see no negligible wear yet on the key's teeth , so that's a plus as well .

It is so damned much more comfortable to carry around vs those stupid huge stock keys and fobs - I'm a really happy camper here !

Got my flip key. Took it to home depot to get it cut, doofus put my key in the slot for the blank. Ended up shaving off the side of my original, had to uber home and back to get my other key. Manager reimbursed me for the uber and called someone that knew how to use the key cutter. Great experience there.

Took 2 tries to program it but it's all great now.

I ordered mine on a Saturday, and got it on a Tuesday. Super fast shipping, and compared to the "real" corolla key its almost impossible to tell the difference. This may be a dumb question, but are all of the keyless chips "keyed" differently or if we all get together will someones aftermarket one open all the trucks?
