Ordered a flip key today. Need to find a Las Vegas Keymaster not chased by two really weird white guys that can like disappear.

One member mentioned Mountain States Toyota did it. I also just saw this web site, which looks like a Denver locksmith that understands the Toyota key. I'm going to call them Tuesday.

Went to Ace Hardware to get the key cut, $1.99, and actually programmed it in the parking lot. Works perfect. Thanks @neneago

I don't believe any key has a logo.

Ace cut the key AND programmed the immobilizer chip? For $1.99?

I understand you programmed the buttons in the parking lot.

Im trying to get a network of locksmiths that will have item in stock. I will then list a set price for the key, cut and programmed. I will verify all these locksmiths have all the proper equipment.
So you can buy online and do programming yourself, cut it or find a locksmith or dealer, etc...
    OR
Go to an authorized shop that will have key in stock, cut and program it for you all for a set price. No need to wait on shipping.

Let me know what you guys think about this idea.

Option to buy online and do all homework yourself will still be available.

Sounds like a good idea. Always nice to have options.

I was almost discouraged when I called around and the first few shops quoted me astronomical prices.

Finally found a shop who did it for a good price, which made it worth it.

Got my key cut and programmed this weekend, works great! My only complaint is the range on the remote isn't quite as far as the OEM one, but it's still adequate.

I agree with that too after today. Went up town and came back to the truck and I was standing right behind it before it unlocked. Got the feeling at first it died on me already. Not nearly as far as the OEM remote.

Point key towards vehicle and hold onto button. It will give it a stronger burst. Supplier does have an upgraded antenna board for the remote key but the minimum order is too big for my budget. I decided to get the upgraded antenna circuit board for the flip key. I sell 5x times the amount of flip keys than I do remote keys.

Excuse my ignorance, I've skimmed through a few pages looking for an answer but can't seem to find one.
I'm interested in one of the remote keys -
    GQ43VT20T
    GQ43VT14T

But I do not know which one would work for my model. I replaced my key fob with a replacement on ebay after my OEM one crapped out about a year ago.
The ebay one has no serial number, nothing.

So my question is, how do I find out which would work for mine without the OEM fob?

08' TRD O/R w/ factory keyless entry. Let me know if you need anything else.

    Thanks in advance!

type in the fcc into google and you will see which FCC looks like the remote you have. They are completely different in shape/style.
