Guessing that was at me and the other one with bad reception. I really dont mind the distance issue... no reason for me to need to lock it from across a football field, but I can regularly be standing next to my truck and have to push the button more than once to get it to do anything (locking or unlocking). Sometimes it works fine, but it has become such a regular issue that I just ignore the fact that I have to push it sometimes 2+ times before it will lock or unlock.

Sounds like we have the same issue... yeah it is annoying when your like "hold on, dont try and open the doors yet, my key isnt working" haha. Just glad it does end up working after a few presses... so far.

And I was going to try a new battery, but I guess I wont waste the time trying.

Are your pointing key blade towards car and holding down on button?

Yes. I'm aware the button needs to be held.

im in the same boat, ive tried multiple new batteries as well and no difference. i like the convenience of the flip but im ready to go back to the stock keys. at least i can get in my tuck with out pushing it 6 times

the range it works at seems to vary all of the time also, sometimes its good across a parking lot and sometimes i have to be standing at the truck.

My issue is the same as the guys above. Intermittent issues. One time it will work no problem, then next time I can be standing right next to the truck and I have to click the button 3+ times to get it to do anything.

Ive had about 3 people in the past contact me about some "issue" I tell them to take video or send me the circuit board so I can test it....Only one person has sent me the board to test. The other two come up with a story about how much they really would like a flip key. Its like they are making things up in order for me to say...Oh, here's the flip key you really wanted. Guess what...never heard from those two guys again...What a coincidence. If you have a bad product, I will take care of it.

If you have a remote key, Im NOT going to change it for a flip key. If your remote key has some sort of issue, PM me and I will send you my address so you can send it to me. I will run diagnostics and If I see any issues, I will send you a new remote key module.

I have a flip key, not looking to upgrade for free, just wishing it worked better. Its an intermittent problem thats been ongoing for at least half the time I've had the key. But I have other things to do than trying to remember to video every time I use my key in hopes that it'll not work that particular time. Since usually if it doesn't work, it'll work ok the next time. But I'll PM you.

Anyone know how to open up one of the flip keys? I don't want to pry the wrong way and end up with a broken key.

flip the key open and on the keyside in the middle there is a little indentation, stick a screwdriver in there and twist it open

Mines been sent for diagnosis... Sucks having the stock key + fob in my pocket, but I now realize how much I was actually having to double press buttons before since I dont have to anymore and dont need to watch the truck to confirm it actually locked. :) Hopefully the flip key board will be good to go when it returns.

Keep us updated!! I'm not interested in a flip key. I just want my button key to work like the oem one.

Update is the engineer did not find any issues, but re-flashed the circuit board and its on its way back to me. So I am hoping that'll fix the issue. I am getting annoyed having the extra key on my key ring, BUT, it is nice not having those random times of it not working and having to look at the truck to see if the lights are blinking to make sure its locked.

And further update. I have used the key for a day or two and have noticed it taking two presses a few times, so it seems to be doing the same old thing.

edit: I have been getting better at holding the button the first time due to the delay and it seems to have been working better...
