You have to have a locksmith program the 'chip'. Setting up the door keys etc is easy. You will need a good locksmith, and only the distributors get the key now. You will have to work that out with a distributor. If the local locksmith can't program it don't expect a refund.

I've tried reaching the Longmont, CO vendor, but they have not gotten back to me. Is this person still servicing the flip keys?

I don't see it, but I'll take your word for it. Guess I'll try the PayPal route. Thanks!

OP I want to buy this style key for my truck. I do not like flip keys. If you have one I will buy it. Or if you could make one. Please let me know.

I have a dot chip key

Great experience! I ordered my flip key on January 12 and it was waiting for me when i got home on January 15 (from Texas to NY). I programmed the remote in about 2 minutes, took it to a locksmith to cut and program the transponder ($45 & 10 minutes) and I am in business!!! Contrary to what some others have said, for my experience the buttons work great on the first click and the range is comparable to my OEM fob. No regrets and no complaints. Also, locksmith told me it's easy to program for a 2006 (with their computer) so i can't speak to newer Tacoma's. Dealer wanted the truck for an hour and $125 to program, no way.

Did you ever find a source for this? I prefer this to a flip key.

Also - my current keys (I have 2 master keys) need a little "finding" in the ignition to turn. Dealer said key is warn (its an '07 I just bought) and to get a new key cut before it damages the ignition switch... but if I cut a new key based on the current master wont I just propagate the issue??

The dealer can cut you a key based on the VIN not your current keys. If both of your keys are very worn, it is the way to go.

I messaged the OP on here and sent a message to him thru his website and eBay and haven't gotten a reply. He used to sell these keys before he started doing the flip keys but quit for some reason.

Dealer will cut me a key for $110. Said they would do a second key for the same price. They sell the blank for $55 but will cut one I bring in (so I can get a pair from Amazon for $20). Were my key in good shape I could program it myself after getting it cut anywhere - but since mine is warn I need someone to cut it from the VIN or based on the ignition.

For those still in search... some research pointed me to a source for the elusive all-in-one...
One site (http://www.carskeyreplacement.com/) says they have a guy within 20min of me that will come and cut one for $200.

Based on the OP's web site, I contacted the "Low Priced Keys" dealer in Sacramento. He said he bought the exclusive rights for this key in the area. Its 'low priced keys' brand - which is the brand for OP's product as far as I can tell. He won't ship me one... so far nobody will... but if I happen to be there he will cut me one for $150. And this includes basing the key off the lock, not my existing warn key. I'm also trying to contact the 'founder' of low cost keys, who - from what I can tell - moved to Texas and franchised the business.

I'd love an all-in-one. I will likely be driving the truck from Portland to CA and beyond this summer so if no other solution comes up I'll get one then. For now if I dont hear anything better in a week I'll get the dealer to cut me a pair of Amazon.com keys before I ruin my ignition switch.

Clearly states on the site to not bother the shops. Why would you call the Sacramento shop?? Website also gives clear instructions on how to order keys. Orders come in daily so other people must be understanding what is written on the site.
