All Memes Marvel

It had a few problems, but it was a GD masterpiece compared to the theatrical release! It's all but confirmed that it'll be the end of the line for this particular timeline at least... Damn shame!

 

I’ve watched nearly all of the recent DC movies just because they’re there on streaming.
IMO they just don’t measure up to the MCU.

 

I wanted the 4 hour movie last night, it was ok. Definitely didn’t have the build up of being a marvel movie though

 

DC and Marvel are different and that’s ok. Marvel has always been light hearted and comical and the movies play that way. They have serious moments and drama but the humor is there and makes it great and the movies are brightly colored and invoke that feeling. DC is dark. The stories are much darker than marvel and the movies (at least the Snyder ones) follow suit. There are some side by sides of the theatrical JL vs the Snyder Cut and some of the changes are simply a different light filter. The theatrical tried to be Marvel. It was brightly colored and some of the darker plot points were removed but the Snyder cut was dark, almost like a bluish filter over the whole thing, which aligns with BvS and continues the themes of that movie. The Snyderverse was going to get darker and more brutal and I was all for it. It was something different and unique that other superhero movies haven’t done before

 

That’s true, some of the things I didn’t like about the movie are how much slow Mo there was, and how every time the Amazon chick was in the frame she had he own special music. Maybe everyone else did too, but noticed hers the most.

 

DCs tone is just all over the place.

 

They all did, but hers was more noticeable lol

and the slomo is Snyder. That’s his style. 300, Watchmen, even Man of Steel. I love it. Watchmen is one of my top movies and Man of Steel is one of my favorite superhero movies, I guess Watchmen could count as that as well. I really liked a lot of the added shots in the Snyder Cut, especially all the flash scenes. His intro scene was amazing

 

Watchmen worked because the source material was so good.

 

Agree. Great both on paper and film. The show though, not so much

This show only has 4 more episodes. The pacing is way too slow in my opinion. And the episodes are deceivingly short with the 8min credits, without bonus scenes. Hopefully next week has one

 

Watched it this past week. Agreed, much better than the theater release.

For reals. I mean, his mom is Goldie Fucking Hawn and his dad is Kurt Fucking Russell. He should be the king of fucking Hollywood.
