This comic probably came out twenty years after the television show, so probably not much chance of actually having any influence on it. But Cap has has a lot of interesting shields over the years.

Ant-man rant coming. Steer clear if you haven’t seen yet (although this isn’t much of a spoiler)...

So first. I really liked it. It was funny and Michael Pena stole the show again. I hope he finds his way into some of the other movies because he’s a riot. Better than the original and I don’t have much to complain about.

Except this...

So we know from Infinity war that Scott is on house arrest hence his abscence from the fight against Thanos and we know the events of Ant-Man and The Wasp take place before the events of Infinity War. Fast forward to the end credit scene. By this time Ant-Man is no longer on house arrest and we see the impact of Thanos’s snap. Infinity War took place over a few days, all the avengers assembled to help. There is a clear passage of time between the end of Ant-Man and The Wasp and the end credit scene where he should’ve known about the battle with Thanos or at least the battle in NY and known something was up. It’s just bugging me that he was oblivious and going about his own business still...

Almost like his abscene in infinity war was an afterthought and they forced some dialogue to explain it but the time line doesn’t sync up now. I guess in theory they may have not known he was no longer on house arrest yet but he still should’ve seen news about the battle in NY, which was even hinted at in the final closing credit scene with the emergency broadcast signal playing on his TV. I’m probably overthinking it.
I JUST WANT ANSWERS

 

Like @jhodge83 said he might might be connector to fight Thanos maybe with Stark. Remember in Infinity War Strange saw something that made him realize that Stark was a key part in beating Thanos. Hence why he gave up the time stone to Thanos.

I wondered a little about that too...and how the hell he’s getting his ass back out.

Still...

I had that Hot Wheels car case when I was a kid, and it NEVER did that. I need that remote - I still have some of my classics I’d love to drive. Kids don’t get near them or my Johnny Lighnings. Especially the GTOs.

Walter Coggins plays a great bad guy, and did a great job here yet again.

Glad they dropped the original Wasp hair style. Didn’t fit.

Michelle Pfieffer is still amazingly beautiful. The makeup/CG guys did a great job doing up younger Janet Pym.

Just as I was wondering if we’d get a Luis “stream of consciousness rant” we get the truth serum scene. Bravo, y’all.

All in all, really fun.

 

Finally got caught up and finished the most recent season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I have a love/hate relationship with that show. Sometimes it’s really good and other times everyone on the show annoys the crap out of me. That last season was weird but decent enough. It really bothered me how little they dealt with the event of Infinity War though. The last 4-5 episodes all aired after Infinity war was released and they made a few mentions of Thanos and would briefly show news reports but other than that it’s as if it was no big deal.

I just read that Coulson is going to be back in Captain Marvel and that some of the Shield agents will be in the Spider-Man sequel so the next season of AoS won’t be until next summer following that release. I’m intrigued...

 

Interesting... I stopped watching it after the season where they introduced Ghost Rider. Couldn't get in to the story line after that. It's interesting that now they're bringing them in to the movies. Maybe they're using that as a way for people to watch the show.

 

Well Coulson started in the movies until Loki “killed him” and since Captain Marvel is set in the 90s he can come back still alive. I don’t think anyone in the now MCU movies knows he’s still alive as the director still...

Ghost rider was ok, the storyline got too “mythical” and magic-like instead of super-hero so I can see where you’d lose interest

 

I watched it anyway, because May and Daisy.

And Mack, he’s cool.




Fitz and Simmons, though. Damn.

 

May go back and see them. I have them all on my DVR and just haven't watched them.

 

Yeah, May and Daisy are bad ass and I liked Grant too. To bad they made him Hydra and killed him off. Coulson is definitely the glue and I liked how they brought the movies in from time to time.

That’s why I’m disappointed in the lack of Infinty war impact
