I'm not too worried about hitting something with the tube. I now know that it'll hold up especially with the headlight hoops.

I'm thinking of getting a 1.5", 4" CLR die for headlight wrap arounds, what do you think?

Would you have the center hoop at 2" and the the headlight wraps at 1.5"? Or all of it at 1.5"? I thought you didn't like the thin tube.

Why not do 1.75 all around since you'll have the die for it? Or did you want to wrap the headlights like I showed you on mine and use the 1.5"?

Thank you. It's an Eezi-Awn 1400. The best thing I've purchased for the truck. You can camp just about anywhere with it and it's super comfortable.

I was planning to wrap like we had tried to and 1.5" is the biggest tube die I can get with smaller than a 6" CLR.

I'll take a look at the die I'll be using this weekend and let you know if it'll work. It has a 3.5" CLR. I'll see if that's enough for that bend. If it is I'll give you the details about it and if it'll fit your bender.

What kind of miles do you have on the MT/R's so far? I'm not due for tires for a while. But I think the KM2's are already played out and they don't last very long. I've got Mickey Thompson MTZs that work well in what I throw at them and appear to be just below 50% tread with almost 40K on them :burnrubber:

I have about 6-7k miles on the MTRs. I've had them in the snow about 7 trips now and I love them. They air down really nicely and do excellent in the snow. I've had them in some slick rocks once so far and they've done really well. On road manner are good. I don't think they ride any different than the KM2's that I've had or the Toyo MTs. I liked the KM2s but they did really poorly on snow covered roads. I took them off with 10k miles on them and will be listing them for sale soon. Other than that I'll probably be replacing my MTRs with another set once the time comes.

    Wow, thank you.

How much do you want for the KM2's you think? And what amount of tread do you think was gone after 10K miles? I've heard they are soft. And I'd much rather have a tire that does moderate to good off road because the compound is hard rather than keep buying 1200 in tires every 20K miles.

I will get a tread gauge to measure for sure how much has gone but I wouldn't say that much tread has been worn off. I paid 1400 for them and would like to get around 1000 for them. They are 35x12.5R18. Being that they are 18's is why they cost so much.

Ah, I didn't think to ask rim size. I'd be putting them on a set of 16's. So no go.

The MT/R's seem to be holding up well? I love how light our trucks are compared to full size. Putting mud tires on an F-150 was like taking a grinder to them. That truck ate through tires so fast.

Yeah tires for 18s are pricey. More money for less rubber. I really like the MTRs so far. They haven't been wearing too bad. The tread is nice and even despite my alignment being out of whack. My truck isn't that light. I scaled it at 5200lbs without me in it. It's a little on the porky side but I have a lot of armor and gear in the truck.

    Still better than a 7250 lb F-150 :D

I didn't know they were that heavy. I guess my truck is still light then.

Yeah. At least that's what the truck scale told me. I had a quad in the back though. So maybe it's closer to 6750. But still, every bit counts.
