All fall under "cars" with the exception of generators, which I would lump under "house".

Pedantism aside, you get the point....major purchases only please.

Wow, I like this guy! Yes, if you can't pay off your expenses by the end of the month, I'd take a long hard look if it's really worth it.

And no, I wouldn't put a 6 inch lift and wheels under "cars". As much as we'd all like to. :)

Right on bro- As long as you stay up on your payments and aren't getting screwed on the interest rate it's not a big deal!

Credit cards are not evil! But they have burned a lot of people! I have one card and put ALL bills and expenses on it- and pay it off each month. It's the best way to buy things IMO cause you have so much protection from the Card company. I put big purchases on it too for the points and because it can help cash flow- Then I just pay off said big purchase in 1-3 months. Credit is your friend use it for your advantage!

My entire build has flowed through my credit cards. I'm spending the money anyway so I might as well get the reward points for it. Also does wonders for the credit rating as long as stuff gets paid off quick.

I have no problem with my credit card. As long I buy something goes to my debit card. My credit card is for purchase something more than 200 dollar, I would paid it off after 1 to 3 months.
The only cards I have is Debit and one credit cards.
I used to have best buy, sears, captial one and chase. Already paid them off and not use the cards ever again!!! That is really bad debt for couples of years. I learn something.

Your association between the president and credit cards makes no sense.

motorcycles, boats/pwc and generators (unless used to generate revenue) all fall under toys and should not be financed.

I'll get these items from you in a few months for half the cost when you have to sell them on here.

I do the same thing too...I just make sure that I can pay it off at the end of the month. Builds your credit score, and gets you those wonderful rewards points.

    sure it does...

the more you spend, the more it spurs the economy... the happier people are. the happier people are, the more they tend to be happy with the current president... the more likely he is to get elected...

IF you can pay your cc off each month, you should put everythign on your credit card (debit cards have a number of downsides - especially at places like the gas station, etc. - but that's not the main reason). I use a cash rebate card, pay it off each month and get a nice cash rebate every year...

Thats how i did it... Yeah i'm still paying on it but i am making my payments the bank i went through for it gives you cash back at the end of the year on the card that actually pays down on what you owe! Yeah every now and then i say damn that was a bad idea then i have to go somewhere and then i say yeah it was worth it!! I am also paying double the ammount cause i can... If i was paying the least amount then id be screwed! Congrats man! Everyone has they're own justification for debt and me and you agreed on the same one.. My excuse "I need new tires i want bigger ones i need a lift and since i'm spending the money on tires why not do it all" Now i fell in love with my truck again!! HAHA!! And so did all the girls and friends around me!! I have the party pad for a truck! ;-)
