Getting these sliders on this week! Thanks for the details and pics. How are they holding up years later?

They were great while I had it. I touched them up with some powder coat touch up spray after any outings where they made contact. @JasonLee has the truck now.

The APEX logo that was laser cut into the fill plates wasn't blasted or prepped by them before sending to @crashnburn80 , so when he had them powdercoated, it didn't stick very well... The hard 90 degree edges at the logo has most of the powder peeling off or gone.

Underneath there are spots that have been sand/rock blasted off that need to be touched up with the rattlecan of powdercoat touch-up.

Otherwise, they are good. I haven't put them against rocks yet.

Good point on the laser cut logo, I had forgotten about that. Tip for touching the logo up with the powdercoat touch up spay, use painters tape directly on the logo in its entirety on top and spray from the bottom. Don't attempt to use a sheet of paper or similar taped on, as it won't seal against the edges and you get some bleed through on top. And that stuff does not wipe off.

    Bumping this old thread.

i purchased a set of new Apex Bolt on Sliders for my third gen from a member who intended to install them on their second gen years ago just never got to it.

Over the weekend I tried installing them but they didn’t seem to match all the holes. I was using the front bolt on to the cross member but it wouldn’t match some holes on the center of the frame.

Can anyone advise if they are interchangeable? I know now they are but not sure if they were before the third gens started hitting dealerships.

Oh also, I think you don’t use some of the holes on the later 3rd gens.

I’ve seen that here and there. But here is where I’m having my issue, the sliders have 4 big holes where the rivets for the cross member stick through. I’m using those as my guides, when mounted, the front cross member bolt doesn’t align.

But it looks like their website says these sliders are for 2005-2021 under one item
