Do any of you have an All Pro APEX front bumper? [IMG]

I finally got around to installing mine on my 1998 Tacoma. There is a massive gap on top between the bumper and grille. Just read on their website: "*Please note – ’95-97 Tacomas will have a slightly larger gap between the bumper and grille." Really?? This looks like crap!

Any top pictures of your APEX bumper fitment? What have you done? I can't believe they would sell a product that looks so bad. Not to mention the install requires cutting the frame, side tabs and welding insert. Come on!

Yep, and don't expect any help from their customer service either.

The bumper was designed for the 01-04 grill, which matches the curved cutout - you could probably scab in some plates to fill that area if it bugs you. I have done some major modifying to mine, including re-doing all the attachment points just so it would fit correctly.

Sounds like your complaint was documented by the manufacturer, and you neglected to do any research?

Best bet if it really bugs you as mentioned is to french in some plate, with some patience on the welder, and some fresh powder coat it could come out looking fresh.

drr - Thanks for the pictures. I'm sure this bumper will require plenty of modification to fit correctly.

Greensystemsgo - This isn't acceptable. With or without comment about a "gap". And this "gap" is HUGE! I can't believe anyone would pay $1,000 for this bumper! I certainly wouldn't knowing what I know.

    Brostjoe - Correct.

I would never install this bumper as-is. Yes, looks are important. Otherwise, I wouldn't have spent the money. But not worth spending time/money modifying a bumper supposedly manufactured for this truck.

Does anyone have one of these bumpers on 1995-2000 tacoma?
