All Pro Bumper - not lining up perfectly

OK, I've read dozens of posts about the sides of the AP bumper initially coming close to fenders and people use washers, but where? Is it under the bottom of the 6 posts that the aluminum bumper attached? Need a quick reply if possible.

I'm sending photos to AP now, but they said this is not normal...

 

No worries... Between Sarah, Pepe and John we (reads I) got it all figured out. I'll start a thread with pics later. ALL PRO SUPPORT ROCKS!

 

whatever adjustments I mad eon mine, I still rub on the corner close to the headlight, and fire931 too. the radius of the corner should be larger!

I'm jealous. How difficult is the install of this? Can one or two people handle it relatively easily?

 

I did the install solo except for when it came time to lift the bumper and put it on the truck. My wife (she weighs 118lbs. dripping wet) came out, picked up one end and spent 15 seconds helping me sliding the bumper over the 6 threaded posts which hold it in place. When you're done putting the bumper over those posts, the bumper holds itself in place so that's all of the help I needed. (I didn't have a winch or I may have needed a strong friend to help place the bumper on the truck).

I started the install at 12:15pm, took my time, built the bumper, tore apart the OEM bumper, installed the AP, got it lined up, wired up and tested the PIAA's, installed the IFS skid plate (that was a PITA doing solo) and cleaned everything up by 8pm.

Nothing too hard really, just take your time and it isn't too bad.

 

im glad i havent bought my bumper yet. i want it to fit right without having to cut the bumper.

 

You should be OK without cutting. I have a decent bit of clearance and all of my issues were my fault. I didn't see a small package of hardware in the bumper kit and tried reusing the 17mm heads to screw the bottom of the bumper onto the truck... All Pro provides 19mm heads (same thread pitch as factory) just longer, which was causing my issues.
