Good point, I like the way it looks with the winch mount section cut out. If I do get the bumper, I would have to see if it gets in the way for me. I might get a winch later on, so I'll have to weigh the pros and cons. Maybe, there's a way to add a 2" receiver to the bumper for a winch on a receiver mount? If, so the winch can be used front and rear if needed.

The first pic, is that Pismo? Is that where you had the problems with the approach angel?

I like the way it looks without the filler plates. The rest of it is open anyway.

What size are the Hella's? I think that I want to do more than 2 lights on it. Not sure if I want to do 3 or 4.

Nice setup, any issues with the approach angle on yours?

Those are 500's... nearly 7" diameter
But that is about as large a diameter as one can go with that short hoop.

BTW... those Hella lights really suck ballz and are a waste of money IMO
They might be better if converted to HID...
But the glass lens breaks easily... and replacements cost more then the light itself...

My four LightForce 170's are 'da chit.
they will never break or crack... evar
and I swear they light up the road like daylight... near a mile

One day I'm gonna take pictars

Thanks, I'm reading up on your build, now. I was just curious about the size, so I know what will fit on it. I know on the allpro website, it says that it has tabs for 2 6"ers. I do like the look of the short hoop, but even thinking about doing away with the hoop.

It sees like a lot of guys on here use LF, which I haven't heard much of, until recently. I'm going to go with HID, myself, not sure which ones.

LF sell a HID... and the non HID LF's could be converted easily.

Just curious as to why you went with steel plating in the center instead of tubing the whole thing.

The first pic is Silver Lake sand dunes. I'm in michigan but yes that is the place that concerned me the most. The tube at top and skid part with the 3 holes used to dig into step sand hills. Had the same problem other places but the only place I was going fast enough to be scary.

Cool good to know. I've taken my truck in the dunes, myself and haven't had a problem with it scraping or digging in, but if I get the bumper will watch out for that.

Just looked a the LF 170's. What beam pattern(s) are you running on the front?

Thanks TD. I like the look of the tube bumper, plus I would think it would be a little lighter than a plate bumper.

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.

Id just stick with halogens man. They turn on instantly which i like.

I have 2 LF240s on my bumper and they are bright as shit. so worth it.

i also have 4 Hella 500s with 55w HIDs. I can tell you that yes the HIDs are brighter. But the bulb life isn't as long and they take like 4-8 seconds to really turn on. Also due tot he 500s lense they do NOT even come close to the same distance as the LF240s.

I use both tho. The LFs are my driving lights and the hellas are just for trail lighting.

None of the pics in this thread have the lights mounted on the tabs that come from Allpro on the bumper. In my first pic my flag is mounted to one of the tabs it comes with.
