wow, you don't give up do you..or you don't read the entire topic as a whole do you?

as i stated above...it took us at All Pro 10-11 hours of install time...that includeds the time that we stopped at every possible step along the way so that SiRMarlon can take pictures.. so that All Pro can utilize those pictures in with making installation directions/instructions for the LT kit.

now, if we would have worked straight through the day without stopping and posing for pictures during the installation of the kit..it would have been done in a single day!

Exactly true. Working alone I could install a front long-travel kit in 1 long day on a 2wd, including tear-down of the stock components.

The front axles add complexity and time to the install. I definitely recommend taking the new axle shafts and stock CVs to a shop to have them deal with it, if just to keep your garage cleaner. :)

just buy it, it's only money and you will never have to worry about the front end again. Atleast with the allpro lt you don't have to change fenders and front bumper so you can save some coin.

also take into consideration what you plan to do with the truck...

do you really need LT up in nor cal?

thats quite a bunch of change to drop if you won't be using it to its full potential...

also consider other mods you will need once you start... glass fenders... painting them fenders... bigger tires... front bumper (stock bumper looks goofy on an LT front end... alignment cams (swapping out or welding the stocks)

you then have to build the rear to match the front... at the very least, some kind of leaf pack...

    soooooooo, pricing...

    $2700 for the basic kit
    $1300 for the coilovers
    $500 for extended shafts
    $170 for bumpstops
    $350 for glass fenders
    $5,020 plus tax

    then, for the rear end...

    $575 for leaf springs
    $400 for rear resi shocks
    $975 plus tax

    add-ons...

    $800 for bigger tires
$500 for decent prerunner front bumper

you may have to work more than your ass off now...

    x2... its not that simple...

PLUS, you want to take time out after each major step to make sure you got every bolt, part, etc, in there just right...

cuz it would suck to do your shakedown and find out the hard way that maybe something wasn't on so tight and you have to work in reverse to trace what's loose...

Ya, I know this is going to be an expensive..... EXPENSIVE project. I want to turn this in to my off-road ride so I want some really good suspension. I was under the impression you dont have to buy new fenders with the All Pro kit? As far as living in Nor Cal I might not use it up here, but if my dream job comes through then I will be in So Cal and it looks like a 6" wouldn't be smart. I am now thinking that I am just going to save for a while and see what I can do in a couple months.

you don't need to buy new fenders or bumper with the all pro kit, all the other you do.

only reason im playing devils advocate with you is that you are looking at a lot of money that could go to other more important things...

you shouldn't have to be killing yourself with work to fix up a toy...

one of the primary reasons to go LT is because you will need that ride out in the desert and at fast speeds... if you are not going to bash the heck out of the rig like that, save your money...

considering its a 4wd, you could always get into the whole crawling/exploration type of wheeling which would lead you down the path of solid axle suspension...

before dropping the money, spend some time in the scene you want to eventually find yourself in... don't blindly jump into it all based on the cheering section, ya know?

cuz if it doesn't quite work out for ya, not too many of that cheering section is going to bail you out...

your money, your truck, your call...

I'm not thinking you are being a dick or anything, I appreciate the input. Its just right now I have a spacer lift and I know its bad for my truck. I am drawn to the All Pro LT because it seems like it is a versitile kit. I am not into the whole rock crawling scene. I want this to be a daily driver but at the same time be able to go have fun on the trails. I wanted a 6" but not too fond of cutting the crossmember. I like this kit because if need be it can be replaced with something else.
