Yup, was trying to see where the ATO was going but nothing either. Just left KR Fab a message. What a shame, this is really a nice bumper obviously if price was right.

    lol...

King can make you whatever shock you want to accommodate any weight you add. You need to consider people remove 50# of shit then put a 110# bumper on...and if your concerned with weight don't buy a winch with steel cable and it won't weigh 90#. I had zero issues wheeling URE with stock suspension and a Relentless bumper.

Those bars on the bumpers aren't for lights they are for protection and when done large enough are stingers.

No man, what I meant was the fact that they haven't chimed in is unreal. You said nothing wrong and I 110% agree with you!

I just wish there would've been some follow up on this....They made the thread and nothing came of this!

    Whatta tease :pout:

Yeah, it's just not right, and I'm a previous customer of theirs. Just wish they would at least say no new updates at this time or something.

I'm sorry we haven't given an update sooner. We've had a lot of changes going on recently (more info on that to come).

The main problem with producing the Hybrid bumper at a reasonable price is being able to ensure the demand to not only cover the added R&D, but also to be able to purchase the material in quantity.

We may still have the jig to build it, but the last unit we were saving was actually stolen out of one of our storage containers a few years back. Our lock was cut, and you could see where they dragged it across the asphalt, along with a pressure washer. Also, we are no longer working with the engineer who helped in the original design, so we'd nearly have to start from scratch.

It really comes down to a business decision if this bumper will be profitable or not and how long it would take to start turning a profit after initial costs. I will continue to look into the feasibility of bringing it back, but we do have our new APEX (All-Pro Expedition) Series we are currently working on that includes a new one-piece plate front bumper we'll be releasing as soon as next week.

We appreciate everyone's continued support and input!

    ~Sarah

What exactly is going to be different about the new bumper aside from it being beefed up and one piece?

Once you get a new drafter/engineer make sure they give you a copy of the files for everything they design as they do it. I know another fabricator who got screwed over when the drafter left them. He paid the first guy to design it and then had to pay to get the product reverse engineered by another guy.

I know in PA when I draw anything for my company it becomes their property. I could walk with all their stuff, but it would be illegal and immoral.

It has a new look too. We are putting one on my truck today for the Overland Expo next weekend in Flagstaff, AZ. We'll be posting the release next week with all the details.

We have learned a few things the hard way!

Sad but true....look how many look alike products others have now. Maybe we should be flattered, but this even goes back to our original products like the Hy-Steer and SAS kits for the older trucks being copied by reverse engineering and then sent to China for production.

    You make me laugh!
