Thank you for the response. I responded to an email from an employee that had emailed me my tracking number for the sliders, and was taken care of quickly!

Brad is who I've been talking to at All Pro. He actually sent me that earlier in the week. So I assume that one bolt that holds the plastic box to the frame replaces one of the sliders bolts? That's why I came up one short?

And I did follow that for the zip ties/brake line management. Just make me nervous that they weren't separated from metal around them. I'll just use rubber fuel line hose to insulate.

Unfortunately I stripped the nut somehow on the plastic box frame hole. So that's my only delimma now. I'll probably have to grind the factory nut off and just replace it.

Hate to break it to you but All Pro has been booted from the site as a vendor, and they most likely won't respond.

Buy 2 nice drill bits of each size needed (can’t remember sizes). Used a jack to hold the drill up when drilling the bottom bolts (4 per side).

I also used two jack stands with towels draped over them to hold the sliders mostly in place as I put in the first couple of bolts.

That alone should save A LOT of sweat.

Good to know. Looking at it today my 2 questions now are on the driver side. The clips that hold the brake lines. Are we stuck just doing some sort of zip tie solution? And then there is some sort of bracket on that side close to the front. What to do there?

Are the 2nd gen sliders the same as the 3rd gens? You mentioned installing yours on a 2015. Both of the clips you mentioned had a place on the sliders for my 17. I'm not sure I still have the email for those secret tips but it wasn't anything ground breaking.

DEFINITELY use the floor jack to help drill the holes out on the frame though. That was a huge help.

Also I used electrical tape and a metal rod for the plate/nut that goes inside the frame for the front most hole. That one beat me up on both sides.

I'm trying to sell mine currently and no one near Kansas City is modding their Tacomas appaeappar! I'm in a 4runner now and need some mod money.

    Up for grabs:
    BakFlip MX4 - 5ft bed
    All Pro HD sliders
    CBI hidden winch mount

But there's no way I can ship this stuff

I’ll have to crawl under the truck to remember.

I think I bent that bracket and mounted it with one bolt. I also slit open some spare breather line to protect the brake lines from themselves, the bolt and the frame.

I kind of wish I went with SHMELLFAB, they would have been on and done weeks ago but instead I bought a set of the all-pro and it's been taking me forever to get these moving.

Late start today and went to do the passenger side and I'm not totally sure about the supplied hardware locations.......bolts with nut plates vs bolts and lock nuts.
Do all of the bolts get used?

Are any of the bolts supposed to go through the larger holes in the frame?
Like the one at the front that you have to reach way the hell inside the frame to get to......and it felt like the bolt was a little short.

The tips are not super helpful.... Slider primed Marked.png

Looks like you have 2 extra nut plates. I only needed 4 per side. 3 up front (locations in your photo and there’s 1 location near the rear.

    THANKS for that post!!

I have the long bed so that's probably why there are more than what you needed for your short bed.

Did you actually use the large holes in the frame.....it seems like they would be a lousy support point but would make sense to use the nut plates there. Hope they don't break, they seem pretty shitty. Grade 8 bolt and a cheap nut welded to thin steel.

Yes I used the large holes in the frame. Yeah, those nut plates are thin, but they should work just fine. If you want something thicker/bigger you can just make some backing plates and use lock nuts. I used 1/4” steel plates from Home Depot and just cut it to size because the nut plates were missing when I received my sliders. I just couldn’t secure the crossmember location until I received the nut plates.

Were you able to get the cross member plate in there with the slider bolted on....or did you have to drop it again?

Any trick to getting the one up in the boxed in area?

Last q for now......any tips on the driver side install?

No, I had to take the sliders off to put the nut plate in the cross member.

No tricks for the boxed area. I just stuffed my arm in there.

The driver side is basically the same except you have to deal with the brake lines. There’s a couple different ways to deal with the brake lines, others have posted in this forum but I can’t remember which thread. I picked up some thin aluminum stock from Home Depot and created some relocation brackets (about 3” long). I reused the brake line clips, but flipped it upside down to keep the line close to the frame. You’ll need to bend the brake lines “just a little” to relocate no matter which method you use. Not to state the obvious, but be very careful and bend it slow. If you want I can take a photo of what I did tomorrow evening after work.

Thanks again for all of that info, greatly appreciate it!

If you could snap a pic that would help a ton.
I probably won’t get to these until the weekend....my landlord has been giving me shit for “working” on my truck.
I just want to get this over with!

1st one closest to the boxed frame area. Had to use a longer bolt for this. I mounted the slider and then put the bracket on and just put another nut on top to hold the bracket.
    94014EAD-BC47-44F2-A08E-5CA296C1728B.jpg

2nd location in the middle of the frame. Same hardware sequence as the first.
    B0D4EB8E-8EC4-48FF-8C12-61BAA170FED0.jpg

3rd location near the gas tank. I got lazy and just used some tie straps to hold this one together. Seems to be working just fine though, there’s no chafing.
    99FB605A-33EC-412B-BE9D-FCE97207467D.jpg

Not sure if your long bed has additional locations?

    Good luck!

    Thanks again!
I picked up a few longer bolts for the front sections where the supplied bolt seemed short because of the slight gap.
I’ll pick up a few more for the brake line areas.
