Any pics of this "last hole" you're talking about.
There is a hole in the frame that almost lines up with a notch in the sliders.
    Wish the instructions were clearer.

I'm having some computer issues now and can't find any pix. I was using a right angle drill and now can't recall if I had cobalt or titanium bits, but I didn't have to remove the slider at all. I think both sides had a slot or opening in the frame and all I did was drill through the slider. The pass side I could do from underneath and the driver I might have either done with the right angle drill from outside or the regular cordless.

I never notched the pinch welds, I just slit some fuel line and slid it over it. I'm not off road much but it was even banging on pot holed roads.

The instructions definitely sucked and like I said earlier they're not as well designed as the other brands. Also, I did buy some longer grade 8 or whatever the metric equivalent was for some of the spots.

Here's a pic I had of the pass side done, like I said I think that I realized that the drill would fit without any issues, and you're just drilling through the slider metal because it lays over a hole or slot in the frame.

Yeah. But I think the issue revolved around the instructions not covering the long bed.

A decent diagram with call outs for which goes get which fasteners etc. Would have been awesome.

    Glad you got It done.

I agree, I have a longer bed too. Some of the guys were saying they only used 4 of the nut plates.....I’m pretty sure I used all of them.

Were you able to fab up some brake line relocation tabs?

I tried to post as much crap that I encountered, between the two posts it was mostly covered.

    Didn't try... Should I?

I believe I used all the but plates as well although I think I had a few random bolts left.

Are the brake lines just floating??

I made the tabs from aluminum, they didn't come with the sliders.

On front the gas tank? Yeah I can't remember if I zip tied them up or what I did, I definitely didn't fabricate anything though.

Yeah, I didn't bother drilling this hole in the slider tbh. I know the instructions say to, but these things seem pretty damn solid with the holes in the bottom of the frame securing it, and every other available mounting location utilized. Maybe I will change my tune later on, but for the time being I'm leaving this particular hole alone lol

I just moved them around as much as I could, and secured them with zip ties to keep them from rubbing on miscellaneous stuff.

    Zip ties FTW

When I got down to it the rear most holes were easy enough and I wanted them to be %100.
On a washboard road they’ll bang against the pinch weld, I slit some fuel line and slipped it over the pinch weld as a bumper. I didn’t want to bash the weld or cut it.

I’ve had zip ties break, and figured the brake lines are pretty important and didn’t want to risk failure, the aluminum tabs were super easy to cut and drill and re-use the hardware & clip.

I’m glad it’s done and over, and able to help anyone else.

installed this slider and had that annoying bump on every pothole too.
Specs say 1/4 inch gap. Mine couldnt even get a piece of paper between it. called all pro looking for an easier fix. Not one. Ended up shaving the pinch weld all around. But the bump is gone!

What did you use to do that?
    .....without taking the slider off?

Yeah, I need to take a pic of mine, but I have nowhere near the clearance issues you guys seem to be experiencing. I easily have over a 1/4" between the pinch weld and the support brackets all the way around; it would take some hella movement to make these things contact the pinch weld on washboards, at least in my particular case.

As for the brackets, yeah I can't argue there....you're right. Zip ties do break, and aluminium tabs or steel brackets would absolutely be the better option. I'm sure I'll get around to re-rigging the things here before too long.

No, Had to take off again to grind it. Ground a 3inch little dome under each one to give 1/4 inch plus room. Total pain.
touched it up with paint. Doesnt look bad. cant really see it. but yea, poor design since its made for the tacoma. 4 wheel parts recommended it too.

It looks great and is super solid. good size. Almost full coverage.
