Looking for anyone who has the All Pro Offroad Standard leaf pack. I'm looking into getting these for my 2010 Tacoma Double Cab but worried about ending up with a "stink bug" effect. For shocks I'm planning on using Fox 2.5 resi coilovers 0-3 1/5 lift in front and Fox 2.0 adjs. resi's in rear.

I'm worried that I may have to turn the front up too high putting to much strain on my cv's and other joints. I currently have All Pro UCA's with 2 1/5 inch spacer in the front, just concerned about going much higher to keep a level stance.

Anyone who has these I would love for you to post pics of your truck and comments on your experience with them.

The front coil overs that I'm planning on getting (Fox 2.5 resi's) will be adjustable up to 3 1/5 inches of lift as well I'm just worried about turning the front that high up in an effort to avoid a "stink bug" stance. I like for my truck to ride as level as possible. Just have gotten really fed up with the quality of the toyota leaf packs. I'm on my second set and ready to move on to something of much better quality (only 55k on the truck). I think that the All Pro Standard Pack should be a good leaf pack for what I'm looking for.

Reasons I'm worried about running the Fox's turned up to 3 1/5 inches of lift in the front is that I have a 4x4 model and worried about the cv's going out as well as possibly putting the steering arms at too much of an angle and getting a "bad" feel in the steering wheel.

How high can I run the Fox coil overs turned up to before I need to worry about making the ride too stiff or damaging cv's?

So only going 2.5 in the front I would probably have to remove a leaf or two to keep a level stance? If I did this would I weaken/ soften the leaf pack to the point that it would be similar to stock and defeat the purpose of buying them?

I have AP standards and coilovers at 2.5" and have maybe 1" rake.....It'll settle down. Run some weight in the back and flex them out and they'll settle.

    Thanks Sublime,

How do you like the ride of that setup? Is it worth the money going from stock for mostly highway and some mild offroading?

Never mind, just looked at your shock pics and saw you went all out with the Icon setup. Looks sweet but I think I want to stick with Fox. They are what I have on all my other toys.

I've had the same set-up on my Tacoma - Fox Shox all around and AP Std Leafs. I say "had" only because I sold that truck but still have Fox on my Tundra. They ride great, definitely worth it, but one of the rears had to be rebuilt. The front coilovers are fine up to 3" I'd say. I never had any CV binding or breakage, swaybar was left on though and I had about an extra 150+ or so lbs with bumper & winch.

As for the springs, if you have any weight at all in the bed, you should sit nearly level. I don't remember my Tacoma ever looking stupidly high in the rear. I was running 33s at the time and was able to stuff them without rubbing like crazy.

The springs are awesome but my ext length 5100's suck (just saved those pics, I'm not running those yet:D). The fox's with good valving should ride great. I love my ride on and off road.....smooth as hell at speed.

some of this, a little of that
I've had the AP standard leaf pack for a couple of years. Last time I measured, I had 2.5" of lift on the passenger side and 2.25" on the driver side. I also have a snugtop camper shell... No issues with them when the bed is empty. But they lose their lift pretty quickly once you add ANY weight. The few times per year that I add a couple hundred lbs of camping gear (15 gal of water, coolers, tents, chairs etc...) I always find myself wishing I had gone with the dakars... I wouldn't worry about getting too much lift with the AP pack if you keep your coilovers at 2.5".

I've got about 2-2.5" of lift up front (OME 885x with an ARB, no winch) and my truck is pretty close to level...

I would go with AP ex springs over Dakar for ride quality and flex (I've tried both). You can always add Timbrens to help with some weight carrying on the stds.

Thanks for all the great replies guys. I think I'm going to go ahead and do this setup next month (talked to the guys at Fox and they are supposed to be coming out with front coilovers that will have high and low speed compression adjustment, what I've been waiting for). Really looking forward to getting my suspension set up the way I've wanted it since before I bought the truck, four years ago.

Sorry to revive this age old thread...but I have a question about the AP pack. I see some of you saying they will settle from 3-2.5 or 2.25” of lift. Have they settled closer to 2”? I’m hoping to get an AP and have it settle 2”. Preferably a used pack that way it’s cheaper and has less lift.

if anyone here changed their mind and is selling theirs lmk Lol

Reviving this again lol. Found a steal of a deal on brand new AP leafs $300 but not sure about quality. Are they reputable and reliable?
