    Do you ever have the truck unloaded? I know it sounds crazy, but I'm hoping to find the best of both worlds, comfortable unloaded (tolerable) and capable while loaded.

    Any setup to either side of that spectrum just doesn't appeal to me.

    The ride unloaded is great. All my experience with these spings has been with just a spare tire in the bed. On and offroad they're very smooth.

    All the time lmao. I personally think the ride is good without any weight in the bed. I even had the rear shocks revalved a few years ago by DSMS with more compression and less rebound so technically the ride should be harsher, but it's not. But what I find comfy across the board will be different from what you may think is comfy. End results may very lmao.

    Yeah, understood, I lived with a 2004 WRX STI as my daily driver for 4 years and that was absolutely brutal because of the high spring rate and low profile tires.

    I think as long as it's not as rough as a 2500 full-size I will be happy.

    Wish I had an update. I'm still replacing springs and lifting at some point, but right now the girlfriend is driving the truck full time while I'm driving for work.

    I have been really exercising my stock springs, so they're essentially useless right now. No weight and I sit perfectly level.

    I am pretty sure the expo leafs will ride smoother with a rear bumper.

    That's why I plan to get the expos when I can, and store them until I can afford a bumper.

    Then install the lift and bumpers at the same time

    I have to say, I couldn't be happier with the standards. I haven't towed yet, only loaded the bed down while moving and but had no trouble with the weight.
    If you have a steel bumper, shell, lots of rear weight the expos would be a much better choice. For my use the standards are perfect.
    Normally all I have in the bed is a hi-lift and my spare tire, rides very smooth on road. Got to test them out through whoops in the desert as well as crawling around the best my locked prerunner can crawl. They flex well and cycle smoothly with just basic fox 2.0 rear shocks. I have banged the bump stops pretty hard which is no fun, usually only happens with a fast sharp hit.
    I just have the basic bump stops from Allpro, will be upgrading to wheelers super bumps or something similar in the future.

    I happened to grab these pictures just the other day. Sitting at ride height with two spares in the bed.

    At ride height there is plenty of up travel, but I do want to swap out the rock hard bumps for something that hits earlier and is more progressive.

    I didn't take the time to pull leaves and properly cycle the suspension during the install to check the limiting factor, got it as a "kit" from allpro. Just trusted that they paired the correct rear shock length (I did double check the part numbers to make sure what I ordered it what I received). In the picture with the wheel off there's a jack lifting the axle so it is slightly compressed.
