As JT said, he's been trying to contact them for quite awhile and has not had a response. I agree I like their bumpers too but it should be tried and trued and fixed before I fork out the $$$. That small tweak needs to be fixed by AP. I hope its soon as I am thinking of getting this bumper.

    AP?

I’m thinking bolt on. Lots of other bumpers have brackets here.

    Here are some examples

Nice to hear from you, Sarah. We look forward to hearing what will be done. I'm sure there's many of us waiting so we can place an order, myself included. :)

We have sold thousands of bumpers, and have winched numerous times in some of the worst situations, and have never had any problems with our bumpers, nor our frames.

However, we appreciate the feedback and have looked into the added bracing. What is shown that other manufacturer's have done isn't adding much, if any, reinforcement. In fact, without being done properly with a crush sleeve through the frame, other issues can arise. Also, not all are compatible with remote reservoir mounts.

We stand behind our products 100%. We are confident that our bumpers can be used as intended, and even put them to the test ourselves. Anyone who has run a trail with us can attest to that. Also, keep in mind that we have only had 1 or 2 reported issues out of thousands (that's only about .001%!).

Thanks for the orders! We will be updating the list soon, but please bear with us. I'm actually out on maternity leave now, so Kurtis is the one posting on my behalf. If anyone has any further concerns, please let us know.

Well that was the response I expected. At least another fabricator contacted me and has stepped up to the plate and willing to take a look at fabrication a fix to the problem.

Out of curiosity is anybody else interested in additional bracing for the All-Pro bumper?

IMO anybody that looks at the mounts this bumper mounts to and say's its sufficient is lying. Like I said I did some mediocre winching and the mounting tabs on the truck had started to bend to the point the paint was cracking. I was able to bend them back easy by taking the bumper off and hitting them with a hammer (I was shocked how easy they bent back in place).

No hard feelings AP. Congrats Sarah on you new little one.

I didn't say we weren't looking into it, or we didn't care. But you're the only one we've heard of having the problem you did, and we haven't been able to duplicate it. Also, the bracing you posted isn't sufficient either, and can cause further problems with the frame, so we are opting not to use a "bandaid."

We will certainly continually update any of our products when deemed necessary. It is just a little slow going right now since we are short handed. BTW - Thanks for the congrats! Still waiting on the baby, due any day now!

I'm sorry when you said "we appreciate the feedback and have looked into the added bracing" but left it at that I assumed that meant AP was not going to do anything.

To clarify in the immediate future (lets say 6 months) does AP have any plans of doing anything to fix this weak link? Or does AP not consider this problem to be "demmed necessary".

All I can say at this point is we have looked into it and will continue to do so. However, it seems like the weak link is the frame, and not necessarily our bumper, so we will likely approach a solution accordingly. I have left my truck at our shop while I'm out on leave so it can be used for further analysis. No wheeling for me for a while anyway!

Has it been said if there is a powdercoating option on these bumpers?
