    Just got a BUMPER....:woot::woot:
    I really like the new brackets for the shackles , Heavy Duty.
    Maybe I should say, the brackets are more heavy duty than they look in the photo.

    Got my bumper in today! I used the Rustoleum Spray on Truck Bed Liner to paint it. Some minor surface rust around the welds, and some left over slag from the welds, but i cleaned it all up with a scotchbrite pad and some zippo fluid. If you choose to use the Rustoleum product like I did, be careful! It is really thin and will run if you apply it too thick. I had to build up about 3 very light coats before i could go heavy.

    I sprayed my shackles with Plasti-dip, to go with my murdered out look I am going for, and to stop them from rattling on the bumper. I am unsure if I will leave them on the truck, or just store them inside the cab, because I live on Camp Lejeune, the home of the biggest crooks and thieves, and I dont want them stolen. If I can get access to a MIG welder, I will just weld the threaded part to the U body to prevent any such incidents.

    My only complaint about the bumper is that the license plate light holes are too small for the stock lights. Mine are currently sitting with only the inside half screwed down. If i had access to a drill, this would be easily fixed. I will get it corrected when I put my lift on.

    Other than that, an excellent bumper and I'm quite happy with it. Me and 3 other guys lifted the back tires off the ground using the bumper after I bolted it on to check its secure-ness, and it performed the task with no movement or problems.
