Did you use red oxide primer? That's the right way to do it if your not powdercoating.

Im pretty sure I used some high performance rust-olium enamel. I opted for the red primer because it was easier to see when top coating with black.

I also used their rattle can truck bed liner. I think it kinda sucks. Its not real grippy and barely textured. I used like 4 coats also.

So here are my results. A buddy of mine suggested I paint the fill plates with bed liner. @Toynado took that one step further and suggested to paint OVER the bed liner for a nice textured finish. This whole project took me a few days to complete. There was test fitting, using etching primer, masking and painting the bed liner, painting the sliders then final install.

I'm installing them on 2015 and just a little confused me the instructions online say it was supposed to come with self tapping screws wig in guessing is for front leg since you can't get the nut behind there. Instead it came with 16 regulular hex bolts? And 8 cap head screws for bottom of frame. Does that mean total of 18 holes drilled in frame on each side? 4 front leg and 4 on bottom?

Based on the directions you may have some extra parts. I think you need to drill 9 holes per side. Someone that has installed already may be more help.

and I think these are the self tappers... At least I hope

I had the same issue. Talked to Tracy and she said some of their hardware bags got messed up.

I used the bolts with the backing plates in the larger holes and used the locking nuts and bolts on the holes I drilled. Everything worked out for me.
