Anyone else? As of now, I'm leaning towards the General Grabber at2s or Duratracs if I can find them for a better price.

I'm in Canada, so it might be a bit different, but we have a store called Canadian tire, and they have all their duratracs on sale for 25% off right now. I think that size is like $160cad each right now. You can also get them from 4wheelparts

I have had both the KM, KO, KO2 and the Duratracs. I am a big fan of the Duratracs now. I just put them on my 99 taco 265/75r16e and my wife 04 taco has a set now going on 40k. Hers still read 11/32nds out of 18/32nds. We rotate every 5k and re-balance if needed. We go wheeling every other weekend and drive 50 miles a day to work and back. These are the best AT tire I have every used and the snow grip is the best I have ever had. We put 265/75r16c on hers with 32psi. They were about the same nose as the KO2 till about 13/32nds then just a tiny bit louder. The secret with Duratrac is to rotate more often and re-balance. They need more attention than a true AT like the KO2. Off road I would spin more often with the KO2 and would clog the tread in mud and snow. I have also hydro planed twice in super heavy rain. Never had any of this with the Duratrac yet and last year in Colorado was Horrible weather all year. We just came back from a ten day trip and Colorado ghost towns and the trails were a mix of all levels and the these tires with 11/32nds amazed me how good they were. Not sure how the E loaded tires will be but the C love our first Gen Tacos.

That sounds great cause ive already hydroplaned a few times wth my KO2s. Where did you get yours from? The cheapest I've seen is 4wheelparts plus they have free shipping but its still a little pricey for my budget

I can vouch for duratracs being a great tire. one of the best for snowy conditions aswell if you get much snow in your area.

I also have and love the Duratracs. I got mine from my local Goodyear, so I paid more I'm sure. There's a lot of sand around here and they do awesome in sand. Haven't been in anything else with them. The only problems I had so far is I had to get them rebalanced a couple times right after I got them.

Toyo R/T had two sets of them, quiet and aggressive looking, never wore them down past 75% so I could not tell ya. On my next truck I am going with ridge grapplers to keep the cost down or I would have went with the R/T again.

I waited to Discount tire direct does there Ebay deal for $100 of $400 with PayPal and used Ebates for 5% back and had them price match. I bought three sets this time after discounts and rebates think it cost me $539 a set. They only do this deal twice a year and you just missed it. Think the next one is around February. But I think 30-40 bucks more over the General is a better investment when talking tires. PM me your email to refer a friend to Ebates, you get $10 buck extra by me referring you. Any one that wants it is more than welcome to PM me. It free and easy to use. I have a toolbar app for it and it lets you know if you can save more.

I am a believer that if you get a motorcycle, get the best helmet you can afford to save your life. 10 cent head then get a 10 cent helmet LOL. Tires are the best investment that you can do to improve your truck capability and safety so fork it up.

@HSmith_11 my KO2's take a beating, I know others do too.

I have never broken loose in dirt, or pavement/ rain.

BFG is now owned by Michelin- some of that tech in this tire.

Also, go to Discount Tire- they will offer you money on your existing tires.

How much money tho? Usually those kind of deals are rip-offs. But maybe discount tire is different idk

I got $40.00/each for my OEM tires, with 15k on them. Point is you can combine rebates, discounts, promotions, and any money they would credit you for existing tires. Just ask them- the dude will measure tread depth, etc. He wants to make the sale.

May save hassle of selling on your own later. :notsure:

Sell your current tires on local Craigslist and, if you can, wait until DTD does their sale on eBay like already mentioned. This is the most cost effective way to buy tires. I just got a set of 4 265/75/16 Cooper AT3's for $310 after discounts and rebates, including shipping. When they did the sale in Feb/March earlier this year I got a set of 4 33/12.5/15 STT pros for $640 after discounts including shipping. No tax on either set
