All Terrain or Mud Terrain?

I love the looks and performance of the MT, but our tacoma is my wife`s truck and MT would really be a waste , also she drives alot! I`ve decided to get some mickey thompson ATZ`s for her truck.

 

I love MTs, both for the looks and performance offroad, however I do run a lot of highway and for my next tire im considering a tire that is a bit of both MT and AT.... the Goodyear duratrac's. The hum of MTs dont bother me(I actually like it ) but the lack of wet pavement and ice traction and decreased mileage is kinda whats making me look elsewhere. Up here in the PNW theres quite a bit of mud and snow offroad, I think the duratracs would work well in the conditions. Not sure if I'll actually go with them yet though, otherwise I'll probably end up with another MT like the new Nitto Trail Grapplers.

 

Yeah, mainly the road noise and handling. I've also noticed how they like to slide around a lot when the roads are slick compared to an AT. If you're driving highway a lot, I would go with the AT for sure. Luckily for me, I got my KM's with 50% tread for $250...

 

I would say get the AT's.

 

Most of my driving is on the street but I voted MT's so I have the grip I want when I play in the mud.

All terrains for sure. Mud terrains are for those who just want to look good or those who spend around 70% of their time offroad. if your a 50/50 guy then just go all terrain. they got some pretty good all terrains out there that grab pretty good offroad. mine are general grabber at2 and they impressed me when i was back home. one day my truck will be soley devoted to wheelin and then i will go with a really aggressive setup.
