Point me to a good thread to read or post your opinion.

My 2016 Limited is a street queen. It will not go off road but I also do not want to have poor traction if I find myself in light mud, sand, etc. I will very likely change from the factory Michelin tires to an All Terrain.

What AT is soft and comfortable, and not overly noisy? I primarily do not want to disturb the comfortable ride I have is this 3 day old truck.

Dont get an E load tire... Get a D or better yet C load tire. Might be hard to find an AT that's not E load though. Seems like they're all E now-a-days.

Can't go wrong with BFG's KO2 AT though. 265/75/16 looks good if you have 16" wheels.

Stay away from LT tires if you want smooth and quiet

X2 I have P rated Terra Grapplers and they have quite a bit of noise but not as bad as a LT. Truthfully I have never driven a tire as quiet or comfortable as a Michelin...

I had Michelin LTX MS/2 on my 06 sport 4x4. I have them on my 09 Ram 4x4. They do fine in some mud and sand. If the OP is mainly a "street queen", the MS/2 could be a good choice. If not the LTX AT. imo, you cannot go wrong with Michelin.

$198/tire at discounttire right now. Nittos are $175.

    :notsure:

+1 to the people recommending Michelins. They are the best, more so in the low profile performance summer tire department but they bought BFGoodrich so they could have the best off-road tires too.

I've run the Michelins LTX MS and MS2's on various vehicles as well. They are excellent but a little disappointing in the snow, hence my shift to the Destination AT

I work in the woods for a living, and 95% of the time even half wore out tires with 4x4 engaged will take you through some sticky active forestry operation roads. I wouldn't waste the money, again just my $0.02

OP did not mention snow, if he/she drives in snow I would change what I stated above for sure.

Nitto G2's are nice though. I had the original terra grapplers on my last truck and liked em. Very aggressive.

I'm leaning towards the BFG Rugged Terrain. Does anyone have experience with it?

Definitely check out Cooper Discoverer AT/3. You will get about 60-70K from there and they are a great AT tire.

I agree...it's well reviewed by owners on Tire Rack and reasonably priced.

I have them on my current truck. Tread life is going great, do good enough for me in snow and light off roading. They have a slight hum to them, and aren't the greatest on wet roads, but that might just be how I drive. I did see a small decrease in gas mileage with them compared to a road tire that came on my sport. Looking back, I wish I would have went with the KO2's.

I replaced the Goodyear Wrangler Adventure A/T w/ Kevlar on my 2016 TRD OR with BFG T/A Ko2s (e rated). Did a 300 mile road trip this weekend after replacing the tires (after putting 300 mi on the original tires).

Milage and noise little to no difference.
