There is one. It more or less holds the line that your gas cap is attached to, but it definitely works. I'd post a picture but I'm at work.

I get that. I'm just saying there are hundreds of pages of threads here and most of them overlap some other subject in at least one way, right? This is what I expect of any forum on the internets. It's a free-for-all shitshow and if I'm not interested in a certain thread I just don't enter it and participate.

Yesterday I was looking up windshield film protectants and I landed in a Lambo Huracan forum... We are all just car/ truck people looking to compare notes/ questions. I don't fault those guys for what they chose to spend their money on. I say good for them. Just like I say good for the people who buy an SR because they want to mod it out to get the exact truck they are looking for. I think that is awesome but I don't have any desire to do that myself. I want to buy a really great truck that comes from the factory set up almost exactly like I want it. To each his own, right?

I don't think that its use? Maybe it is. I have used that, you have to pull the cord as straight as you can. Previously I had a small cradle. You would set the collar on the cradle and it would hold it.

But yes, I have used the item you mention.

Remember that time your gal was looking at that other guy a few weeks back and then you sized him up in your head.

That's why, it's our nature to do this, it's our crow magnum DNA.

This is a picture of me, you have nothing to worry about. But your gal does love my voice especially when I hum.

You bring up a great point.

The 2017 Raptor was my first choice. I called three Ford dealers about leaving a deposit. With each one, I got the same response. "Southern California Ford Dealers have agreed... i.e. They colluded to fix the market price and Hose everyone.

So yes, here in Southern California; the $48K gets shipped to the dealer with all the bells and whistles (No they will not allow you to custom build one yet, not until the initial orders are fulfilled OR you pay them up front their dealer fee) so next year or maybe after that. You will be able to buy one for $48K

That brings us to the models on the floor (which aren't there yet, or weren't two months ago but they were promised to be.) These are to be fully loaded cruisers. Very nice. And I was MORE than happy to pay sticker for that. $59K for a full tilt Super Cab? Sure Shut up and take my money. NOPE, no can do. Sticker Plus $15K. Now the truck is $75,000 and they have yet to hit the floor. So I contacted Ford Motor Corp. Asked them about it. Here's the first sentences of their response.

They were very nice about it, but my response was succinct.

Thank you, Toyota just got my business.

And that is the story of how and why I left Ford after three trucks and 10 years later and went back to Toyota.

That's insane! I mean it's clearly an amazing truck and I think most of us would buy one if the price were right. But that type of markup is just ridiculous. Although I think a few people have reported similar BS happening with PROs in southern CA as well.

If it makes you feel better, when I do a search on cars.com from my CO zip code for any distance and filter by highest price, the highest price ($79k) comes from Sneed Ford in Gower, MO:confused:

I fell prey to wanting the truck and feeling they would be sold out later. So I just went out and found the truck I wanted. Paid more than sticker. Not obscene but I didn't get it for $44K like it said on paper. To be honest, I was more mad at the State when they put their hand in my pocket.

End of the day - Im happy and will be happy for a long time I feel. The Tacoma family is much more nice than my experience with the Ford family. Just my perception.

That's good to hear! This will be my first Tacoma and I'm hoping that what I've heard is true. I drive a 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD now and I love that thing to death. But it is not reliable by any stretch of the imagination. After looking at every truck out there, it was pretty easy to narrow it down to the Tacoma for me. And there's a lot to be said for getting that exact truck you want, even if you paid a premium for it. Congrats!

2F707A01-.jpg Had her for over a month. ZERO issues other than one rigid fog light stopped working. Replaced under warranty. Coming out of my 2010 TRD OR its leaps and bounds better than what I had. And that was a great truck. Upgrades ive done 285s and rims and tint. Swapped out headlight bulbs also. Hate the stock ones. Not bright.

Well I guess you just fall into the insecure bracket, because I have no need to size up any one. You don't like the way I look, well there is the door. Want that dude over there and not me, there is the door don't let hit you in the ass on the way out. Don't like the vehicle I'm driving, don't look or get to fuck out of my way so I'm not in your rear view.

I'll have to rename this thread:

"TRD PRO, ELITE Owners Thread: Top of the food chain for those greater than the rest of the wanna-be, broke-ass, pre-runner-loving, transsexual, TW haters and sheeple".

Can you imagine if this was an F150 forum?

    My Limited>Platinum>King Ranch>Raptor>Lariat>XLT>XL.

How many of you want to bet there's a shit ton of XLT guys bagging on the Raptor owners that their trim is hotter than hot and they can upgrade the XLT for a fraction of a Raptor...

Raptor owners=elitist neoliberal, Davos-loving imperials who build Death Stars on the backs of lower-middle class F150 contractors.

    Sound familiar?

Is it me of most of the Pro hate seem to come from OR owners? Then they always come with a rebuttal that they don't hate the Pro but...........yada yada.

Yea yea, get over it. The Pro exists and some of us have them if that somehow makes you think we are better or entitled then well that's your problem. Meanwhile to all the Pro brothers and sisters, hope you're enjoying the ride as much as me. Nice riding around town with people asking what kinda truck it is......lol.
